This is not a win but a great loss.

Good post

We imported and raised this problem

I’m not sure they outnumber us but it’s closer than this forum admits where it matters

And they own the institutions

When you consider boomers the old righties and last redoubt

You know it must be bad

Ok so by winning the House, the GOP actually lost the House. Intriguing logic.

It’s stupid to talk about social security. In fairness, I don’t think people heard about that.It was stupid for Kari Lake to even bring up mccain. It was stupid to talk about anything except inflation, the economy, and crime. It was stupid to nominate so many weirdo candidates and so many RINO candidates. And Trump endorsed as many or more RINOS as McConnell.

Agree he did not support a number of the candidates. However, he did send $30 million to bail out Vance. Trump raised over $100 million and as of yesterday had only distributed $14 million to help the candidates.

He made the last week about him and made too. Not a good move.

Keeping my fingers crossed for Johnson. He and Grassley would be in charge of the Senate investigations of the Bidens. But without the majority, that will go no where . . .

“ Just as in 2020, McConnell sabotaged the Republicans because he cannot allow MAGA to win. Now he gets to blame Trump, and the sheeple here will buy it.”

How could you have this so wrong?

Stephen Miller is writing Trump’s 11/15 Announcment script right now and it will SCORCH Miotch for losing 2 elections in a row. Trump isn’t Minority Leader, Miotch is.

And it is PAINFULLY OBVIOUS to everyone by now that Miotch prefers to lead the Minority.

And if Rick Scott is answering a million phone calls tonight like I suspect he is, Miotch’s leadership days are numbered.

Why don’t you go to DU, since you hate conservatives?

I was clear and detailed in my objections to his post and you adopted the “hate” label. I don’t ‘hate’ just because I object; the ‘hate’ label is what lefties use to taunt people who disagree with them.

I can’t see de Santis actually running for president unless Trump drops out, this bickering between them may just be bantering for fun to confuse the opposition.

So Trump is really the only realistic hope for 2024 in play right now. Of course he’s not perfect and many might wish there was a Trump-like figure who was around 50 years old and absolutely convinced of the need to take on the deep state with a fully committed team. This is the problem, Trump deserves the loyalty of those who love freedom, but we also want to see a win, this is too important a situation to tolerate anything less than a decisive win.

Tonight does not look like a decisive win. How many unexpected R wins have there been? How many expected R wins have failed to materialize? I’m not blaming Trump, he can’t cure human stupidity nor can he fix flawed voting systems, at least not at this point in time. This is the catch-22, to fix all the problems you have to win by a large margin, but some of the problems you want to fix are the reasons why you can’t have a large margin.

It is exasperating, and of course it can only get worse as sensible people age out of the system.

I think it would help if Trump and de Santis, and maybe also Cruz, would present a united front. That might get the attention of a few unimpressed but reachable voters. I don’t think the jockeying for position does the cause much good, although I also don’t suppose it drives many away, the stakes are too high.

Anyway, doing high fives after tonight’s result would be rather like if the German soccer team returned from a 1-1 draw with Albania and demanded a ticker tape parade. “We didn’t lose.” Yeah, you didn’t lose. But NO PARADE.

“No he didn’t. He pulled funding for those who didn’t support him or were MAGA.”

Do you consider Don Bolduc MAGA? McConnell’s PAC put in $16 million to help in New Hampshire.

Do you consider Kelly Tshibaka MAGA? He put in $6 million,

Do you consider JD Vance MAGA? He put in $32 million.

Do you consider Herschel Walker MAGA? He put in $38 million

McConnell put more dollars towards MAGA candidates than Trump did. The only senate race McConnell wasn’t deeply in was Arizona.
