‘Democrats Have A Turnout Problem Today’: Leading Elections Expert Live-Reports Dems In Trouble

Roughly halfway through Election Day on the East Coast, a leading political prognosticator, looking at early precinct voting patterns, concluded that the Democrats were in serious trouble.

Dave Wasserman runs the non-partisan Cook Political Report, and he was watching the data from states on the East Coast and extrapolating from what he had seen by roughly 1 p.m. EST.

“It’s pretty apparent from precinct-level data in VA and county-level data in FL that Democrats have a turnout problem today – one that’s unlikely to be solved in the next six hours,” Wasserman concluded.

Then he got down to brass tacks, examining turnout in swing states such as Virginia and Florida: “Noon turnout reports in VA Beach -—a majority of Rep. Elaine Luria’s (D) Toss Up #VA02 — show most heavily GOP precincts up to 55-60% of ’21 votes cast, vs. 40-45% in most non-white precincts. Total ballots cast skewing much more R than ’20 in many FL counties, esp. Miami-Dade.”

Wasserman cited recent political history to buttress his claims of genuine trouble for Democrats at the ballot box: “In recent years, R voters have generally enjoyed their largest turnout advantage in the first 2-3 hours of EDay voting. So, it’s possible these gaps will narrow – and these are just two states. But, these are just large differentials for Dems to overcome in the next few hours.”

my lower middle class highly hispanic, highly democratic area had more people voting than usual and more caucasians than hispanics for a change, also many elderly, few young people. some apparently military!

It was lightly raining, in south san diego which is unusual but people did not seem deterred from voting! It was busy but they had added more poll workers and went fast. more rain expected later today.

“It's pretty apparent from precinct-level data in VA and county-level data in FL that Democrats have a turnout problem today – one that's unlikely to be solved in the next six hours,” Wasserman concluded.

I sincerely, hope that there is a huge red wave. I hope that Democrats on Wednesday and Thursday start eating their own to see who they can throw under the political blame bus. It would be nice to see Slow Joe not run for re-election and have a blood bath between progressives and less progressives within the Democratic Party. Maybe he can try to get VP Harris to grant him a Presidential pardon for all his criminal acts, in exchange for making her President by resigning for medical reasons.

However, I want a Republican House to immediately start committee investigations. First on the Hunter Biden lap top information and any potential obstruction of Justice by Slow Joe. We all know it was obstruction of justice that was the House Committee's “Trump Card” in his impeachment papers.

The next investigation I want to see started is on the death of Seth Reich and the FBI involvement and lies. Their saying that they need 67 years to process the contents of Seth's laptop is just BS obstruction protecting high political officials and the FBI.

I next want some hearings on the abuse of the FISA court warrants by certain alphabet federal agencies and if that domestic spying, especially in light of spying on people associated with political campaigns warrants new legislation to strip certain agencies from being able to farm out to contractors certain investigations of a political nature.

Finally, since Slow Joe has bragged about getting a Ukrainian prosecutor fired publicly, I want that fully investigated to see if Joe is guilty of a high crime and misdemeanor.

Turnout doesn’t matter anymore. The Dems will have a larger number of mail in ballots than in 2020.

my precinct clocked me in at 1603.

A machine read my paper ballot at 1607 but it didn’t know it was mine.

However, the precinct probably can calculate the average time it takes between clockin and scanning, so we have that going against us.
