Republican mega-donor Ken Griffin says it's time to 'move on' from Trump, backs DeSantis for 2024.

GOP mega-donor Ken Griffin said it is time for the Republican Party to move on from former President Donald Trump and look toward a new party leader. Griffin said in an interview with Politico that he supported the Trump administration's fiscal policies, but that he believes the party should gravitate toward other GOP stars. "He did a lot of things really well and missed the mark on some important areas," Griffin said. "And for a litany of reasons, I think it's time to move on to the next generation."

Who in their right mind would ever go to work in a place like D.C.?

If you're looking for people who have no ties to the Swamp, you're almost certain to get bottom-feeding dreck like Michael Cohen.

“If DeSantis cared about the republican voters he would state his plans for 2024 and stop the nonsense. The fact that he doesn’t shows he cares more about his future than the party.”

DeSantis is young and he is focused on fixing Florida. His time will come. First things first. Win another term.

The constitution states that presidential electors cannot vote for both a presidential and vice-presidential candidate from the same state as themselves.

That is why people often say, that a president and a vice-president must come from different states.

But it’s an easily fixable problem. Trump would simply relocate his official residence to New York, if Trump and DeSantis were on the same presidential ticket as president and VP nominees.

In 2000, Dick Cheney was living in Texas, and relocated his official residence back to Wyoming, to run with George W. Bush as his VP nominee. So this is not a huge problem to take care of , if necessary.

Mega donors are a very large part of the problem. We don’t want republicans to win. We want the swamp to lose. Trump is anti-swamp. Large donors always have an angle. And its not the people.

Anyone who thinks DeSantis is “the guy”, needs to watch a DeSantis rally. He does that Hillary Clinton fake yell into the microphone thing. Words are coming out like talking points thrown into a blender. He is boring as hell.

To V twin.
The RINO establishment money is flowing to DeSantis because he is the best insurance they have against Trump rising again. It is not that DeSantis is a RINO/establishment guy, he is just not Trump. It’s really not Ron’s fault. He isn’t going to refuse the money. It takes money to win (unless you are Trump and there is only 1 Trump). People are enticed to run when donors throw money at them, like that dumb as a box of rocks, Ben Carson, who is still talking about thinking about having a conversation about starting to the think about real solutions that could lead to real conversations....
The RINOs are willing to put up with Ron to stop Trump, cause he can be bought. Trump not only didn’t raise money in 2016 he didn’t even put up his personal 60 million that he pledged. IOW, they can’t buy Trump and therefore can’t control him. That offends them and makes them irrelevant. DeSantis may not be controllable either, but they won’t know until he is in the white house. Or a democratic for that matter, but at least it won’t be Trump in their eyes.

They can be on the same ticket, but the electors can’t vote for DeSantis for VP per the 12th amendment

???????? DeSantis should state whether or not he is running 2024, surely he’s not too busy to do that. He knows that media and RINOS are pushing this Trump vs DeSantis 2024 to divide voters. DeSantis could put a stop to that but won’t do it. WHY??????? Because he wants the donations. What matters more? Money or uniting the republican voters? DeSantis chooses money….

The donor class of R flavor wants their cheap labor neo-feudalism just like that of the D flavor. https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2022/11/06/desantis-megadonor-billionaire-head-of-citadel-investments-ken-griffin-explains-why-he-purchased-ron-desantis-for-2024-and-what-he-expects-from-his-investment/

Yep - this is just the ‘return to normal’ wish they’ve had since PDJT came in.

I want the OUTSIDER, which is PDJT. He is still an OUTSIDER and this just highlights that fact.

>>That’s why you’d want to have a vibrant, strong, assertive, fighter as your running mate such as DeSantis or Kari Lake.

That doesn’t describe Mike Pence, and Trump is unlikely to pick a running mate who is a vibrant, strong assertive fighter.

Besides, unless Trump died, there is no real prospect of the VP taking over. He would have to be not just failing and unable to find his way around a stage, but totally incapacitated before the 25th Amendment could be used.
