Former President Donald Trump took a swipe at Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis at a rally on Saturday night referring to him as "Ron DeSanctimonious" in what could be a sign of growing tension between the two potential presidential candidates.

Kevin and Mitch has hatched a plan to take MAGA down - guess who they are trying to draft to help them - Desantis- trump found out about it therefore the reason for the name calling -

Source? Thanks.

BTW, I thinking the squish O'Dea appearance on CNN and then the DeSantis almost immediate endorsement of O'Dea might be the root cause of this.

It’s a cringeworthy ad, no doubt. But you’d expect your Democratic opponent in the general election to criticize you for that, not another Republican.

True, but for Trump, being criticized by another NeverTrumper Republican politician is what he is on the receiving end of, all too often.

Take Senate candidate John O'Dea for example.

I too cringed when I first heard Trump's remark. But I primarily blame O'Dea for the disunity and I do ding DeSantis for his almost immediate endorsement of O'Dea after O'Dea's remarks on CNN. O'Dea's comment right before the election doesn't help our long line of MAGA candidates.

If I was Trump I would have held my return remarks until after Tuesday.

Regards to you Golden Eagle.

Get the suburban women on board. That will make all the difference.

If Trump had only done that in 2018 and in 2020, it might have made all the difference.

Yes I see. That makes a lot of sense. Do you have numbers for that statistical theory.

Professional government politicians just can’t be themselves and most all of them are phony as as they come.

I put Desanctimonious campaign commercial out there with Rafael Cruz’s campaign commercial.

You gotta watch Cruz putting this campaign ad together. It’s enough to make my skin crawl, but hilarious at the at the same time.

Behind the scenes with Cruz family...

I see what this is all about now.

You bet, and his campaign ad clearly implied, "God sent DeSantis to be our savior".

DeSantis barely beat a down-low, low-down bisexual meth addict.

Repeat: DeSantis nearly lost in a red state to a jive hoodoo; meanwhile Youngkin flipped a blue state by 2 points, curb-stomping The Former Freaking VA Governor himself Fast Terry, AND Youngkin had COATTAILS.

Youngkin has his sh!t completely together from Day One -- note that the completely based idea to flood-the-election-zone with GOP pollwatchers came from VA Trumpsters, and Youngkin embraced the idea from Day One.

EVERYWHERE

"Last year [ed. note: 2020], Lynchburg (VA) didn’t have any poll watchers during its early voting period, according to Gibbons.

Then President Joe Biden flipped Lynchburg, a longtime Republican stronghold, beating out Donald Trump.

This year, the city has had a poll watcher in their office every day since early voting began on Sept. 17. Most of them have been Republican, Gibbons says, and many have had “preconceived ideas about the voting process.” One GOP poll watcher, who was later removed, accused her staff of stealing the election from Trump, she recalls. “Our office has been on edge.”

I know who I would back for Trump's VP in 2024, and it ain't sand-in-his-pants DeSanctimonious.

Yes I see. That makes a lot of sense. Do you have numbers for that statistical theory.

Trump increased his overall numbers both in NYC and most of its surrounding suburbs.

The source is the actual vote count and not an exit poll and thus can't be broken down based on gender.

I believe Trump did better in the cities and the suburbs compared to 2016, with the exception of the Milwaukee, Philly, Atlanta, Detroit, Las Vegas and Maricopa metro areas. For some unexplained reason (ha!) those metro areas bucked the trend.

I think DeSantis, Lake and Youngkin need to give 100% of their efforts to governing their states while Biden is president. They are our best hope for keeping the country alive until then.

All three could possibly be great presidential candidates in 2028.

Trump did better percentagewise in most cities the second time - cities outside of the swing states. Not enough to matter though.

Not so much in the suburbs. There was a falling off of his vote in most suburban counties. Many suburban voters wanted things to return to “normal.”

Trump did better in some NY suburbs in 2016 than Romney did in 2012, but it looks like he fell back in 2020. Whether that was legitimate or otherwise, I can’t say for sure, but probably the same dynamic was going on there as in other suburbs across the country.

Trump and DeSantis might be putting on a theatrical performance to convince dimwitted media observers of a rivalry that doesn’t really exist.

The map shows Trump doing better in all five boroughs. In the NYC suburbs that are in NYS, Trump improved overall in all four counties, Suffolk, Nassau, Westchester (which is inhabited by numerous suburban Karens) and Rockland.

NJ looks like a mixed bag.

Lake would be my choice since she didn’t spend her life in government, like the never ending conga line of lawyers turned career politicians... Those people simply cannot relate to the private sector folk down here at ground level.

Absolutely agree about the lawyer ‘professional politician’ connection! That’s the reason I remain suspicious of DeSantis.

What was Lake’s commercial career\private sector job?
