Hard to say. Eric Adams was a former cop so there is that. But so far he’s not looking too good. DC actually had two competent mayor after Marion Barry. Anthony Williams and Adrian Fenty. They were both Democratic but they were pragmatic. So businesses were encouraged to redevelop in DC. But Adrian Fenty was too competent and he didn’t do enough politics so he ended up losing in the primary. Now DC is reverting back to a $#ithole.
