“That’s about 8 hours of work they could be doing”
“That’s eight hours of sabotage they will not be doing”
Excellent point.

What I find truly amazing is that a company can lose 50% of its workforce and still run with no problems. There is very little if any fat to trim where I work. I can’t fathom a 50% reduction.
Twitter has to be the most inefficient company in the world mirroring our government.

He (Mattis) still is a POS. I heard an audio clip of this traitor this week. Cringe-worthy. Trump was star struck by him at first. Little did he know...

Exactly. Twitter is just one arm of the Ministry of Truth.

Twitter said its offices will be temporarily closed and all staff badge access will be suspended in order 'to help ensure the safety of each employee as well as Twitter systems and customer data.'

That’s about 8 hours of work they could be doing. That's eight hours of sabotage they will not be doing.
Exactly, in 60 days they could completely nuke the company.
Cheaper in the long run to announce layoffs today, and then pay the slackers to stay home for 60 days to play video games. (Not that that would much different from their work days before Musk bought the company.)

The primary job of the Ministry of Truth was to supply the citizens of Oceania with newspapers, films, textbooks, telescreen programmes, plays, novels - with every conceivable kind of information, instruction, or entertainment, from a statue to a slogan, from a lyric poem to a biological treatise, and from a child's spelling-book to a Newspeak dictionary. |

On another note, I’m annoyed that Google recently replaced Free Republic in the list of websites that automatically come up when you go to their search screen, replaced it with a list of trending topics of no interest to me, instead of former list of my most viewed websites like Fox News. Those are the people who should be fired, they make it harder for me to find Free Republic.
