Just days removed from the assault on Paul Pelosi, Donald Trump is throwing in his lot with the conspiracy caucus on what actually happened in the attack.
Trump was asked about the attack during an interview with conservative radio host Chris Stigall on Tuesday. To be clear, what follows from the former president is nonsense and officials have gone on the record to denounce conspiracy theories like this.
“It’s weird things going on in that household in the last couple of weeks,” Trump said. “You know, probably, you and I are better off not talking about it. The glass, it seems, was broken from the inside to the out and, you know, so, it wasn’t a break in, it was a break out.”

(a) I would just be seeking clarification, as somebody said on another thread, rich people can have very large bathrooms, the perp might have been in another part of it not within earshot, but why in there at all? and if not, why not lock yourself in until police arrived?
(b) Some time lines I have read are very tight, suggesting the police were only blocks away from the home. Normally this sort of call might prompt an internal call dispatching police and 15-30 minutes is probably a more normal response time. It suggests pre-positioning and a plan to me.
The problem with a trial is, Depape would be on trial, not the narrative. There is no incentive for legal counsel on either side to probe into whether or not Depape was known to Pelosi, or whether the police had any foreknowledge of events. Depape’s legal counsel will likely be trying to minimize sentence by pointing to mental illness. The mental illness of our society will not be addressed in any court of law until it’s too late possibly.
Does anyone with a thinking mind not realize that the police and 911 operators already know who’s calling and from where? Police showing up within 2 minutes proves they already knew it was the Pelosi residence.

IF Pelosi won’t release internal video records of that night then anything goes as far as speculation. To believe that no such records OR body cam records from the police don’t exist is pure, unadulterated idiocy.
They wanna prove Paul isn’t a Butt-Pirate, the solution is simple. Release the videos and we can all go away then.
Maybe next week when Nanzi is thrown out of the Speakership on her butt, the SFPD and other sources will feel more free to tell a little truth here.
He didn’t know. It sounded to me as if the “RP” was referring to what someone else (Pelosi) said…[Pelosi] says his [ DePape’s] name is David and he’s a friend.
But we’ll never know.
