ALSO, forget the glass for the moment, and look at the part of the window frame that’s missing. There’s a horizontal member that’s gone.

I think, if we’re going to use anything as a “go by,” the resting place of that stick of framing is pretty damned conclusive.
You can see it CLEARLY through the hole in the glass lying on the floor inside the house.
As for the glass debris outside; that’s not nearly enough to account for a hole that size through two panes, but there’s a whole lot more glass debris visible on the floor inside.

Yes, I do see what you are talking about, there is something white there that looks like it could be part of the frame, but there are also 2 large pieces of broken wood right outside the window on the ground that seem to be from that missing piece as well. I think the piece you think is on the inside floor is actually still attached to the outer door frame and is just hanging down at an angle.

I thought that too at first, but when I looked at it closely that seems to just be a reflection of the glass that is on the ground outside.
