“Actually is is a VERY BAD time to be looking for a job in tech they are ALL laying off including Amazon!!!”

Maybe, even tough for delivery people.

After dark last night, we got a delivery from Amazon.

This morning USPS delivered an order from Amazon. It was an auto delivery item every 30 days.

Then, we got an Amazon delivery from the UPS guy. UPS has had runners to deliver their packages this past week. Normally that kicks in after the first week in November.

There is another Amazon delivery on its way, and we can see on their email map where their van is.

All of these Amazon deliveries had our permission to deliver everything this afternoon in a single delivery, nothing was of that priority.

We have 3 items in another Amazon order via their next day delivery, coming tomorrow by ?????? delivery service.

We only see FedX with their early morning delivery. Each delivery costs a small fortune.

I just read an article about the two guys who pranked the CNBC reporter. They really weren’t employees who were fired. This has to be them because one had a Michele Obama book.

"Bingo... They engineered internal fake accounts."

Nah, they ignored external troll farms. Internal means scripting too well to hide fingerprints, and then having to run it off-site.

Did you see the pic upthread of that fat f*ck in his overnight grubby jago€€ garb, carrying his box of wank out the door?

Does that strike you as a guy willing to exert the time, overcome the tech debt, and produce the raw energy to trigger that shit internally?

Hell no, they just ignored this data farm (Libtard Media Splatters, ActFool, etc), and cracked down on that data farm. Much, much easier, and gave them the Coomer-style fake satisfaction of having installed the first Puppet-State of Biden.

Prior to retirement, I managed a small organization that included several software engineers. During the hiring interview process, I always stipulated that there is a dress code that all my team followed. If you wanted to work with me, you followed my rules. I had a waiting list of folks that wanted to be part of my team.

The person that replaced me was a BIG fan of that policy, and continues it to this day. She also has a waiting list.

Having worked almost 35 years in the auto industry, layoffs, both temporary and permanent, were a part of the job. And those jobs paid only a fraction of what these techies make......

"Whoever was told to suspend Trump’s account was probably a high-level executive."

CEO Parag Agrawal. He bragged about it on internal Slack (how ironic), while Unabomber was on one of his 'cleansing' pilgrimages in Polynesia.

Jack simply didn't oppose it, having gone to this overpriced overseas hempstead (after a mental 'break') to help himself 'sort out' the fact he could never convince Google to buy Twitter -- twice -- and put him on their Board of Directors.

I'm retired here at the ripe old age of 73, and still have three major clients for which I do hardware/software. I don't dress up, yet always got an offer from any interview. My skill sets include hardware and software design, machine shop operations, photography, and good quality technical writing. My schooling includes physics, chemistry, mathematics, industrial processes. My degree is Computer Science.

I design microprocessor based electronic instruments and then write the software for them. I write compilers, operating systems, and device drivers.

I can outwork any six pretty boys.

I also have a waiting list; however, mine is a list of projects.

I'm plug-ugly, but a major producer. I don't work for idiots, regardless of their waiting list.

Cool. I was getting into Raspberry Pi before the pandemic when my company took off, and have encouraged the kids to either finish my repos or start some of their own.

Drive them hard. There is a lot of satisfaction as well as some gold in “them thar hills”. I enjoyed my career in its entirety; and, work diverse and always interesting projects. If you are good at the technical work, stay out of management.
