Key points:
1. Musk has ordered a freeze on changes to Twitter code as of noon Thursday, October 27, per Twitter employees. No code checkins are allowed.
2. On Thursday, October 27, Twitter product leaders showed Tesla software engineers (brought in by Musk) the company code. These Tesla engineers are reviewing the code in preparation for a confidential briefing for Musk early next week.
3. Twitter software engineers are locked out of the code, other than a few exceptions personally approved by Musk.

No, we just have a very different sense of humor. For example: ! False, its funny because it is true.
“Musk for president 2024. But that can’t happen. He was not born in USA. But he is the smartest person in USA.”
Musk is the true definition of an African American.
He should scan all the emails and texts on the company equipment and purge those who oppose him. I am sure there are many at Twitter that regret hitting the send button.
I ducked all contact with RPG and COBOL. I wrote in assembler on something like twenty processors.
>>floppy disk
Card deck, not floppy. Just have a Tesla drive itself up to the computer and load the cards. Hope there are sequence numbers in case the car overturns.
78 here. Computer language designer so I never had to actually USE all those parentheses and semicolon thingies.
But I think the comments WILL be informative. That type of coder won’t be able to resist letting his code readers know what sort of clever hacks he’s done. He’ll know they’ll all be giggling and cheering him on.
Car game. Look for assembly commands on license plates.

I’m assuming you mean an official audit by the Feds of Tesla. That’s about how this corrupt administration works.

I thought Musk was crazy to waste his money on Twitter. But I suspect he could lose every dime invested and still come out fine. Just glad there’s someone willing to put up their own money to try and make the world a bit more even-handed (good luck with that, though).
Believe me he is paying them BIG BUCKS for this work, they won’t mind working the weekend!!
They surely have! Why use a 1000 byte program when a 1.2 gigabyte program will do the same job?
Or,at the very least..use it against them.
That is right! No repository can be hacked. </ sarcasm>
Ha ha. I actually get that!
Software guys who have been working on avionics and spacecraft dynamics are probably not the best choice for working on a social media platform. While the software aptitudes are the same, the knowledge bases are not.
ready and able.... code review is a drag but in this case I would live with it....
Oldie but goodie: There are 10 types of people. Those who understand binary and those who don’t.
It is virtually impossible to "burn papers" in a large modern IT enterprise. Data is replicated/snapshotted/geo-split/backed up in multiple ways.
I would expect auditing tools are in place that provide for the discovery of who did what, and when.
I manage just such a system for my benevolent corporate overlords. Given a pittance of information I can have the answers in a matter of minutes.
