PHILADELPHIA - As Election Day nears, a new InsiderAdvantage/FOX 29 poll shows Republican nominee Dr. Mehmet Oz has gained ground on Democratic nominee John Fetterman in Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate race.
The race is now a dead heat, according to the poll of 550 likely voters conducted three weeks before Election Day on Nov. 8. The poll has a margin of error of 4.2% |
Fetterman and Oz are now tied in the polling at 46%, with 5% of those polled remaining undecided. Libertarian candidate Erik Gerhardt came in at about 2%.
InsiderAdvantage Chairman Matt Towery says Fetterman’s shrinking lead was a result of self-described independent voters breaking for Oz by twenty points.
"Oz is also picking an unusually high 14% of the African American vote and Asians and Hispanics prefer Oz say they are voting for Oz by a wide margin. Fetterman continues to enjoy a ten-point lead among female voters, while men prefer Oz at that same rate," Towery explained.
Meanwhile, the race for Governor of Pennsylvania has tightened. In late September, Democratic nominee Josh Shapiro held a double-digit lead over Republican nominee Doug Mastriano.
In the latest poll, Shapiro came in at 49% to Mastriano’s 42%. 6% of those polled say they remain undecided. Libertarian candidate Matt Hackenberg finished at 2%.
"The race for Governor of Pennsylvania has tightened with Shapiro back under the 50% he enjoyed in our previous survey," Towery explained. "Mastriano has gained among independent voters who are breaking his way by nearly 18 points."

“HOLD YOUR SCHNOZZ AND VOTE FOR OZ!”

Quick, more buses to PA. And as a bonus, the dems will make sure that they are registered.
They only polled 550 people. That’s about 8 people per county. I am willing to bet they didn’t get responses from all 67 counties, especially counties in the T. Youngkin won because NW Virginia turned out heavily. I expect the T to turn out heavily for Mastriano. I’m not sure that’s enough for Mastriano to win, but it will be enough for Oz to win. Oz is going to get a higher suburban vote than Mastriano, maybe, I think, probably, that’s about as scientific as this poll.

Neck and neck? Yikes. What is that on Fetterman?
My wife and I walk through our neighborhood (6-8 miles per day) and there’s about a dozen houses out of hundreds that have “Fetterman” signs.
I believe they’re all typical college professors as we live 20 minutes west of Princeton. Also, these houses have their “BLM” signs and a few have “Reproductive rights are Jewish rights”.
It seems like there’s very few political signs this year compared to the past where 50% of the houses or more had them-—Now there’s probably 1 per road/street or none.
Reminds me of 2016 when I didn’t see any Trump signs until I got to the middle of PA.
We made a mental note of the radicals with the Fetterman signs if the SHTF,,, :)
He looks like his neck threw up.
I don’t believe the Hispanics, at least not the Philly, Reading, and ABE PRs.
((((US Senator is because he is a RADICAL LEFTIST that favors turning violent inmates loose from prisons, which will cause vast harm to innocent citizens and wreck the stability of our communities, which is horrible for the business climate. How stupid do you have to be to vote for a creep like that?)))))
When it comes to their neighborhood, then they’ll stop voting for this crap.
The people of Pennsylvania simply cannot be that stupid to vote for more of this democrat insanity??!!
All these polls should be required to post an accuracy grade for the past 10-years.
They are seldom close and I do not trust them.
How any Dem could even poll above 10% after the last 2yrs is amazing to me.
Most of these folks are not going to vote for Oz and then turn around and vote Democrat for Governor. Give PA a GOP Gov to go along with their GOP legislature if you want real change.
Agree
Anyone else suspect this shift has less to do with voters liking Dr. Oz than growing uneasiness about electing Thanos?
I've had 13 years of college education, at major US universities, plus several years of college education after obtaining my basic degrees. So has my wife.
I have no patience with the mushheaded educated morons who inhabit colleges and universities. Believe me, I've known plenty!
I have close relatives who fit the mold. They are insufferable, stupid, and resentful of truth and reality.
