Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that the January 6 House Select Committee’s work will quell 2020 presidential election conspiracy theories that led to the Capitol riot.
Kinzinger said, “Our mandate is to tell the American people the truth, come up with fixes. I know that my kid and I know that the craziest conspiracy theories kid in 10 years is going to believe that it was Donald Trump that started January 6. So all these conspiracies today will go away largely because of the work we’ve done.”

A bad bargain in anybody’s business plan. I realize that being a Congressman confers a great deal of immunity, but for future employment prospects, it rather narrows the scope of opportunities. Lobbying, maybe, or getting a franchise for the hawking and distribution of snake oil, but nothing that is remotely ethical.
I figure that guy is set for life.

In 10 years, Kinzinger’s kid will be like the rest of his family and have nothing to do with him. However, as usual, Kinzinger is 100% backwards in his thinking. In 10 years, I believe that it will be the common assumption held by most everyone that the 2020 election was stolen.

The January 6 hearings are like the Salem Witch Trials.
You hold the accused underwater for several minutes. If the accused lives, it’s evidence he or she is a witch and must be executed.

I haven’t heard of any hearings exploring the magic votes in key places all at the same time. I haven’t heard any logical, reasoned explanation for why Biden who did not campaign won against all odds when the economy was booming and got record numbers of votes—more than the most popular of popular Obama. It does not compute. The computer is still smoking. Maybe they took votes in Moscow and Ukraine.
Kinzinger conspiracies will go away on December 31, 2022.
