Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman (D), running against Republican Mehmet Oz for the state’s open United States Senate seat, suggests that the movie The Shawshank Redemption justifies releasing convicted murderers from prison.
During an on-camera interview with NBC News’s Dasha Burns, Fetterman justified his record of helping to free convicted murderers from Pennsylvania prisons by stating that actor Morgan Freeman’s character in The Shawshank Redemption is about “giving somebody a chance” as opposed to having them serve their full life sentence.
Freeman’s character in the film admits to having committed a double homicide.

I know this dude Fetterman is not all there mentally...but geeze, even Brandon wouldn’t say something that ridiculous and mean it. There’s got to be more to this headline.
We already had this happen, the freak held a man a gunpoint because thought this young shiny Negro was a threat. Fetterman is an east Pa slipped gene scumbag. He plays off like he is all down with the blue-collar peasants because he carpetbagged his way into the mayorship of the basketcase that is Braddock, a town of 70-year-old ex-steelworker drunks and drug-dealing Blacks. NOBODY WANTED THAT JOB. My 3 legged dog could have won that race.
Actually brain dead Fetterman is the perfect candidate and probably reflects the state of the electorate.

Andy was innocent. I think that Red admits to being “the only guilty man in Shawshank.” Great movie. It’s just not a basis for policy.
Seems to me before Morgan Freeman was freed from prison, his response back to the parole board was ‘bullsh*t’.
And he was freed.
But, that should be our response also.
