Democrats make much of the fact that Warnock is a pastor and he’s come out in the past condemning evicting people during the pandemic.
***
Warnock is the senior pastor of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. The Church ... gives him a salary [and] a $7,417-a-month housing allowance. ...
***
A dozen eviction lawsuits were filed against Columbia Tower residents over the course of the coronavirus pandemic .... The total sum of past-due rent cited in the lawsuits is just $4,900, a figure that could have been covered by one of Warnock’s monthly housing stipends from the church.

… the building has gotten $15 million in federal and state funding .... They also got $5 million in COVID funds ....
The building also received $1.5 million in federal and state low-income housing credits in 2005, as well as a $2 million grant in 2007 from the Atlanta Development Authority .... That’s in addition to $6.6 million in HomeFlex rental assistance since 2015. ...
Because it’s owned by the Church, they also pay almost no property taxes, paying just $77.77 in property tax over seven years ...

Ebenezer Baptist Church owns the building through a network of shell organizations connected to the Ebenezer Building Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity that delegates all management duties to the church and identifies Warnock as its principal officer in its IRS Form 990 filings.

... [Herschel Walker] had a generous response ....
I have never known a preacher that likes abortion even after birth, won’t pay his child support and evicts poor people to the street. I will pay the $4500 in past due rents listed in this news article to keep @ReverendWarnock from evicting these people. …

💥BOOM!💥
The Ebenezer Scrooge Baptist Church.
Great come back from a great tailback.
LOL
KA BOOM!
I am sure that Warnock had other people in mind to rent, or evicting to sell the bldg.
FWIW, I believe Walker when he says he did not pay for an abortion. Body language and his definitive answers were key to me.(when most people lie they talk too much)
Not my kind of pastor, that’s for sure.
Just like the stories about Walker, this will not change a single vote. People are dug in and will vote for either without regard to BOMBSHELL stories.
.
But it may convince some people not to go to the polls.
And that’s saying something, given Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton...
Don’t for the “Revs” Jackson, Sharpton, Wright and scores more.
Most astonishing is, the amount of taxpayer money poured into this scam of a church!
The kindness of Hershel Walker after the non-stop attacks by the Warnock idealogues is really something. Great response on his part.
He could've just let Warnock hang by his own petard, that would've left those being evicted in a lurch though. I still say good for Walker.
DingDingDingDing!!! We have a winner!
What would Martin Luther King Jr have to say about his old church I wonder.
