Israel and Lebanon reach historic agreement, paving the way to potentially rich gas exploration

Israel and Lebanon have reached a historic agreement, leaders on each side said separately on Tuesday, settling a years-long maritime border dispute involving major oil and gas fields in the Mediterranean.

The disputed area includes the Karish oil and gas field and a region known as the Qanaa prospect, which are expected to fall into Israeli and Lebanese waters respectively under the deal. Israel has said it would begin extracting oil and gas from Karish and exporting it to Europe imminently.

“Gas drilling company Energean is set to start testing the pipeline of the Karish gas rig, according to Saturday reports on Israeli television, despite heightened tensions with Lebanon over the site as the sides continue to struggle to reach a maritime border deal.

Channel 12 reported that Israel’s security establishment has given the company the green light to start its tests. Kan news reported that these could begin as soon as Sunday. Full operations could begin within weeks once tests are completed.”

Check out the part I highlighted, and key in on the words "to take a spoil." Russia wants a warm water port, and they want what's below the ground in the way of oil and gas reserves. God Almighty will use those items as a way of enticing Gog and Magog to try and "take a spoil," in other words, to rob Israel of it's energy reserves. But when they do, that's when He will reign down judgment on the entire group of nations that participates with them.
