Behind closed doors, Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez made openly racist remarks, derided some of her council colleagues and spoke in unusually crass terms about how the city should be carved up politically.
The conversation remained private for nearly a year, until a leaked recording reverberated explosively Sunday and turned the focus of a sprawling metropolis toward Los Angeles City Hall.
By Sunday evening, three of Martinez’s council colleagues had called for her to resign. The leak had quickly become a new and incendiary issue in the coming Nov. 8 election, with candidates — some of them endorsed by Martinez — having to stake out positions.
Martinez and the other Latino leaders present during the taped conversation were seemingly unaware they were being recorded as Martinez said a white councilmember handled his young black son as though he were an “accessory” and described Councilman Mike Bonin’s son as “Parece changuito,” or “like a monkey.”
During the conversation with Councilmembers Gil Cedillo and Kevin de León and Los Angeles County Federation of Labor President Ron Herrera, Martinez described Bonin at one point as a “little bitch,” according to a recording of the meeting reviewed by The Times. Martinez also mocked Oaxacans and said “F that guy … He’s with the Blacks” while speaking about George Gascón.

My suggestion is designed to destroy their overstated influence on the policies of the Federal government.
I really don’t care what blacks think, they earned their place. Just like everybody else has.
America was destroyed when those two amendments passed. So we are all on our own now. Unity is not possible when 13% of the population determines the direction of the entire country.
And that 13% is a deviant selfish culture fixated on reparations.

It was a pejorative. I’d never use monkey in the context
of referencing a black person in front of them or not.

An a-hole is an a-hole no matter the color of skin. I grew up in an neighborhood were we only had one black family and I don’t remember hearing any pejorative about them because we never saw them. They had friends/family in the next city over. But I did grow up with every Italian, Greek, slav, polish, etc. (white ethnic) stereotype pejorative you could find about all the different families and some interchangeably when someone was pissed or an ass looking for trouble. It was a stupid mess when someone was mad for some silly ass stunt or action and could only think ethnic slurs to harm someone.
From this I learned that hurtful words do matter. That stereotypes are just that and actions and personality matter. So if you act like an idiot or ass you are one no matter your what you look like
So to put a cap on my screed, this city council is full of activist, bigoted ass-oles who only perceive their biased version of race and status and need to have jobs even a incompetent janitor would not want to do and hopefully learn from their stupidity.
The democrats statements on conservatives are even worse.
