Trump Ally Mike Flynn Attacks Ukraine's Zelensky: 'Dangerous Fool'
Newsweek ^ | 10/9/22 | THOMAS KIKA

Posted on 10/10/2022 4:32:52 AM PDT by JonPreston

Michael Flynn, an outspoken ally of former President Donald Trump, had harsh words for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday.

Flynn previously served as a lieutenant general in the U.S. Army before taking on the role of national security adviser in the early days of the Trump administration. He resigned from the position amid a controversy over his communications with a Russian ambassador and has been generally noted for his strong connections to Russia throughout his various careers.

On Saturday, Flynn appeared on the conservative, pro-QAnon web series, "The Mel K Show," where he discussed the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. In a clip shared to Twitter by left-leaning pundit Ron Filipkowski, the former Trump official offered strong praise for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, calling them "bold leaders who have everything at stake in terms of protecting their country." Flynn also derided Zelensky, calling him a "foolish person, a dangerous fool."

Unbelievable how media addled these big guy apologists on FR are. Mike Flynn, didn’t Hillary’s Russia, Russia, Russia fantasies originally finger this guy as a Russian stooge? You can’t tell if these nit wits are identifying as Bushite neocons or globalist stooges in their support of Biden’s proxy war.

Not really enough there to get the complete context. Can't tell whether he's praising Putin and Medvedev, or simply describing them. And Zelensky's statement was dumb, if only because he asked for it publicly so it required a public rejection by us.

Oh, and by "us", I mean the United States. I suspect some of the folks here might have their own "us" that's different.

Ignore the jacked up pygmies here

I always do ... fortunately, there's other more-secure posters that don't feel a need to hurl insults and actually make smart, informative comments

THEY are the ones that make FR worthwhile!

Whatever the case, FR is overrun with posters aligned Democrats. That’s a big problem. Zelensky actively coordinated with the Democrats and Vindman to setup the first impeachment of Trump. Yet, it’s full speed ahead on the Zelensky worshipping Democrats here on FR.

I’m a Canadian Patriot living in the States since 1992 and from my perspective you have it 100% backwards.

I am thinking that Facebook and Twitter have censorship for government control. FR doesn’t have that (yet), so it has agents and propagandists posting disinformation. The best that China can do, at present.

I’m a former Canadian and Zelensky is corrupt as the Biden regime. Biden started this whole thing as a smokescreen for his corrupt son and his crooked money laundry.

Putin was behaving nicely under President Trump.

This isn’t about Putin. It’s about Zelensky.

Zelensky was a nobody on the world stage until Putin invaded Ukraine.

As soon as Russia leaves, no one will care what Zelensky says.

Putin created Zelensky, just another in a string of misjudgments.

canuck_conservative do you find it interesting that all we’ve been bombarded with for the last couple of weeks is that Ukraine has Russia on the run. UKraine will win the day.

Ukraine Ukraine Ukraine...

While at the same time, Zelensky does nothing but beg for NATO and the US to launch pre-emptive strike into a country that hasn’t attacked any of the aforementioned. You obviously don’t seem to care that he’s pandering and fearmongering to a group of people that could care less about the outcomes of anything they do, let alone anything involving the use of military force.

He’s doing everything he can to get the same exact people that orchestrated and oversaw a train wreck of a pullout from Afghanistan, causing the unnecessary deaths of 13 kids from the US military and 1000s of unvetted, unidentified people from a country that hates the US. Who are now in the midst of breeding like rabbits to pop out US citizens.

The same people that blew up a car bomb, secondary explosions, only to find out it was an aide worker, family and some water bottles.

The same people that tell you that they killed terrorist #1 and in doing, also committed an act of war on a sovereign nation.

So, given all of that competence and level headed thinking(sarc) do you think it would be too far fetched if they finally did listen to Zelensky? If they did commit US troops on the ground to fight for a country that we have nothing to do with?

If you’re ok with any of that, feel free to grab some multi-cam, an M4 and head on over there. I’m sure they can use your leadership and military prowess.

Hate to say it but I’m starting to wonder. It’s one thing to believe we have no business in it but to “praise Putin?” That’s not acceptable. If we are to enter this war we need to go big and go fast.

I disagree with the premise of the context of this Newsweek piece.

If this were a statement by Flynn offering support for Putin and his ilk, I have no truck with that since I view Putin as a KGB scum, because that is what he is. So, I wouldn't support Flynn offering that as praise as the context of the article fully implies.

However, if one actually watches the interview with Flynn, he doesn't offer "praise" to Putin or Medvedev in the way the article implies.

Flynn is 'characterizing' them, meaning he is putting them in a category for the purpose of being engaged in their internal processes in a nationalistic way. General Flynn is speaking of Putin in the exact same way I have heard, over the years, Intelligence personnel discussing the governmental affairs over the years. General Flynn's background is intelligence, and I fully expect to hear him speak in this fashion. This is intelligence-speak.

His exact words are:

"...when you see Putin, and a very interesting speech that was just given, literally, in the last couple of days by Medvedev, okay, the former...okay, so Medvedev is another guy in the heirarchy, was the President of Russia for a short period of time, Medvedev's speech was very stern.

And so, we have got to pay attention, because these are not, these are not uh, shy leaders, these are bold leaders who have every, uh, everything at stake in terms of protecting their country. So these fools, these fools, and I said about Zelensky and his statements about nuclear war people can go to the various Telegram and my various social media to see it, that is a foolish person. But what's more dangerous than that is a dangerous fool..."

It is worthy to note however, regardless of what Flynn said, that this is from Newsweek, and on that same page as the linked article which has articles such as: Military Women Need Options, and "No, OPEC's Oil Production Cut Isn't Joe Biden's Fault". It is wise to consider the source of the information.

But Zelensky is all on board with the likes of Soros and the WEF, not to mention in complete agreement ideologically with someone like Trudeau and great swaths of the American Left.

So, Flynn is, in my opinion, 100% correct to call Zelensky a fool, and a dangerous one.

If Flynn is actually praising Putin to hell with him. Haven’t heard it myself but will start looking. I don’t think we should be in the war but I know we shouldn’t praise Putin, ever. Ukraine is corrupt but Russia is evil.

Putin did not create Zelensky. The US did.
Right now he represents Ukraine, which happens to be receiving billions of our dollars, our weapons, and our troops.

Putin did not create Zelensky. The US did.

90% of the people in the world who think Zelensky is a hero had never heard of him before Putin invaded, and will forget him as soon as Putin leaves.

“ Ukraine is corrupt but Russia is evil.”

I’m not a fan of either. But, just curious how do you know Russia is evil? Is it because of what you hear? Sort of like the demon leaders of every country we’ve invaded? It’s not the Cold War anymore, you know.
We were the ones to push Ukraine to be a nato member since 2008 and since then Putin has been making his case. So, maybe we’ve got some blame here too.

Russia attacked Ukraine. You can't blame Zelensky for wanting help.

For those worried about escalation the solution is simple. If Russia restores Ukraine's sovereign territory the war will be over.
