Michael Flynn, an outspoken ally of former President Donald Trump, had harsh words for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday.
Flynn previously served as a lieutenant general in the U.S. Army before taking on the role of national security adviser in the early days of the Trump administration. He resigned from the position amid a controversy over his communications with a Russian ambassador and has been generally noted for his strong connections to Russia throughout his various careers.
On Saturday, Flynn appeared on the conservative, pro-QAnon web series, "The Mel K Show," where he discussed the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. In a clip shared to Twitter by left-leaning pundit Ron Filipkowski, the former Trump official offered strong praise for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, calling them "bold leaders who have everything at stake in terms of protecting their country." Flynn also derided Zelensky, calling him a "foolish person, a dangerous fool."

So, like so many NEOCONs in DC, you’re willing to let this escalate and eventually get US boots on the ground, obviously.
What is the US interest in Ukraine? Other than money laundering for the folks in DC.
Do the Europeans not have standing armies? Can they not defend themselves?
Given that Ukraine isn’t part of Europe, how does what is going on there translate into a threat to Europe? The only reason being is that the EU is sticking their noses into other peoples businesses.
Hopefully, it won’t come to it, but there’s a damn good chance it will, but when US troops hit the ground and start landing at Dover, will you meet with the grieving family members and tell them how their son dying over there was to prevent the spread of war in Europe? Can you make that argument?
But, I guess if it’s someone else’s 18 or 19yr old, who cares, right?
“Whatever the case, FR is overrun with posters aligned Democrats. That’s a big problem. Zelensky actively coordinated with the Democrats and Vindman to setup the first impeachment of Trump. Yet, it’s full speed ahead on the Zelensky worshipping Democrats here on FR.”
The Pentagon recently revealed that they hired paid shills to post pro-US Government propaganda on websites. For real. And the State Department has done it forever, just not en-mass.
24 yrs on FR (under various handles). Never seen a concerted effort as this. Not even close.
FR finally made the big list. We have one or several active ops here with paid shills posting “Yay Ukraine!” US Government propaganda.
Trump’s against the new endless war, Flynn’s against it; any actual conservative is against sending $ there and supporting this idiocy while Rome burns. I seriously hope he mods start banning them, and confining the Ukraine idiocy to one thread a day. It’s killing this place.
you have to be a complete idiot to not know Zman was created by Nuland/Obama with Funding from Soros... wake up and smell the coffee, and corruption! ...ymmv
Thanks for not bailing out this time RL on the Ukraine-ussia issue - glad your interest in Gen Flynn brought you in. Else I would never have seen the great links you provided.
With regards to your statement ... “In that manachean calculus, if you are a critic either for or against action in Ukraine, you are stuck into one of the two boxes: You are either a “Putinista” or a “Ukrainian Propaganda Monkey” and there is no other category you can be placed in.”
Yes, it ends all discussion (in some cases this is intentional), brings forth emotional investment into one’s need to be right and in control, and pits people against each other. Such simplified categorization prevents a search for and acquisition of knowledge and truth. Once recognized however, one knows whom to avoid and why.
Now that’s rich.
And he was a global non-entity until Putin lifted him onto a pedestal.
... you have an odd view, he still isn’t a global figure. He gets max coverage in a pravda press and is a complete WEF puppet now swallowing our billions as well as Soros funds... and is still a clown... but a very rich one! He should be removed as the Kiev totalitarian immediately ... ymmv
More patriotic than 99.9% of Americans. The good ones know who they are.
Has Putin said anything about invading Europe? NO. Everything you read about Putin invading Europe comes from western sources who are making sh*t up to stir the pot.
The only people wanting Putin to invade Europe are the warmongers like the folks at the EU, Biden, Congress, you and others.
One thing I find amazing about FR is the drivel some throw out and then are asked a question which they NEVER answer.
So, one more time....Since you’re so enthusiastic about US involvement in someone else’s problem:
Are you willing to stand next to the families that will be receiving the bodies of their loved ones and explain to them why the US had to get involved in Ukraine’s problem?
Are you willing to then explain to them that although: Germany, France, UK, and the rest of Europe, except Switzerland and a few others, all have standing militaries that can defend themselves, the US had to send their son to defend people that should be able to defend themselves?
If it weren’t for US and EU involvement, already, this thing would have been over in a month or less. But, warmongers like you, gotta warmonger.
You're not an American, and Americans despise foreigners lecturing them. I'm saving your comment, Bulwyf, so when you pop up on these pro-war threads I can make you eat your words. ok?
Putin’s shown every willingness to invade his neighbors and why would he stop when he gets to Europe, wherever your eccentric definition puts it.
Is Poland Europe? The Baltics?
Are you willing to stand next to the families that will be receiving the bodies of their loved ones and explain to them why the US had to get involved in Ukraine’s problem?
I don’t support sending US troops to fight in Ukraine but Putin is not just Ukraine’s problem. And I do support defending our NATO allies, with force if necessary, and I damn sure support giving Ukraine all the help we can to stop the little tyrant Putin there.
You’re talking isolationism and appeasement and I think that’s very, very short sighted.
Again, all thanks to Putin. Russia leaves, the money and attention stop.
Putin made Zelensky.
If you admire the guy so much feel free to stick your head up his back side if you like, and guess what I won’t give a single damn.PS keep your strawman for yourself.
Is Ukraine in NATO?
Which one of our NATO allies has been invaded by Russia?
“why would he stop when he gets to Europe” .... have you talked to him? What did he tell you his plans were? The entire world would like to know so they can make better informed decisions. Pure speculation on your part and of those that want war. Nothing else.
Feel free to document where Putin has shown/stated that he plans on invading Europe.
Putin is not just Ukraine’s problem...you’re right. If anything, he’s Europe’s problem. And soon, within the next 2 to 3 months, when winter shows up, Europe is going to pay a very steep price propping up a puppet that is doing nothing but launder money for them.
AS for sending US troops, you still seem to forget about the Keystone Cops running this country and it’s military. If this continues, it will escalate and US troops will be on the ground.
Isolation and apppeasement......So, you’ve just outed yourself as a NEOCON RINO. Are you Lindsey Graham? Are you in this video of Graham stoking the violence and chaos?
Was what President Trump did, in dealing with Russia and other countries, Isolation and Appeasement? 4 years...no wars. The only 4 years in the last 21. But you’re ok with it.
$1,500,000,000 a month, every month..on top of everything Ukraine has received, to prop up the Ukrainian government. The US is dying a slow death and you’re worried about a money launderer and Putin. Priorities.
Once again, you haven’t answered the question:
Are you willing to stand next to the families that will be receiving the bodies of their loved ones and explain to them why the US had to get involved in Ukraine’s problem?
Feel free to do so.
...your mantra and you are dogmatic... the money and Brandon moneylaudering won’t stop based on Putin. Soros and USAID will flow until the US gets rid of the WEF team in DC... count on it regardless of your wishlist.
Nailed it, you did.
I understand people are emotionally invested in this. I am too, and I am an emotional person, that is, when I get angry, my emotions can take control of me in the short term.
I fight it, but even at my age, it still does that.
But in something that could lead to a larger and more terrible conflict, we owe it to ourselves to try harder to bring it to the table.
You do as you like. I’ve served with many fine real Americans. Like me, they too stand for freedom. I’m a hard ass, I acknowledge that. Soft men will never get it. Cheers softy.
No you're not, you're a Canadian Neocon freak who is lucky the interwebs separate you from the Americans you attempt to lecture :P
Even if true what does that have to do with Putin invading?
