Russian media shows chilling footage of mushroom clouds 'in anticipation of nuclear conflict' amid calls for Putin to 'take drastic measures' to win in Ukraine Putin's propaganda television has shown chilling nuclear explosion sequence

The sequence showed the 'Armageddon' aftermath along with gas masks The sinister TV sequence blamed the West for too much talk of nuclear war It came as a lieutenant called for atomic strikes to be on the Ukraine agenda

Russian media has shown a chilling sequence of mushroom clouds 'in anticipation of nuclear conflict' amid calls for Putin to 'take drastic measures' to win in Ukraine.

Sinister footage aired by NTV highlighted nuclear explosions and the 'Armageddon' aftermath.

The slavish channel owned by the media wing of Gazprom, the Kremlin-obedient energy giant which is now starving the West of Russian gas for the coming winter.

The sequence titled: 'In anticipation of nuclear conflict - how weapons of mass destruction have become part of the geopolitical game.'

It comes as a top Putin lieutenant Ramzan Kadyrov - the leader of Chechnya and a war fanatic - called on Putin to contemplate 'declaring martial law in the border territories and using low-yield nuclear weapons' to overcome his latest military humiliations in Ukraine.

'I do not know what the Defence Ministry reports to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief [Putin], but in my personal opinion, we need to take more drastic measures,' he said.

Lt Kadyrov complained that Putin's commanders had failed to rout Ukraine's supposed 'Satanists and fascists'.

The TV sequence blamed the West for too much talk of nuclear war, when it is Putin's acolytes and propagandists who are constantly floating the threat of atomic apocalypse.

The message appeared to be that the West should cave in to Putin's demands on Ukraine and the threat of nuclear war would diminish.

I know the media says Russia has passed unscathed through
the sanctions. They like to talk about China doing every
so much better than the U.S. too.

Neither of these nations is in a position to take over.

China has massive financial problems. It’s housing
sector is literally on the verge of collapse. Its
banking system is not on solid ground either.

As for Russia, on the surface it looks good, but the
center of it’s economy has been hollowed out. It is
not in a solid position these days.

I watched an hour report on Russia about six months
ago, and it touched on issue after issue where Russia
has been badly affected by the sanctions.

The Rubble is not on solid ground. The only way Russia
saved it, was it started paying over 20% interest to
shore it up. And then when that worked short term,
everyone jumped on the band wagon and praised the
Rubble as if it survived because it was a better
risk than the dollar.

If you wish to buy into all that, be my guest.

Russia can’t get parts for its aging fleet of
aircraft, in the private sector. New aircraft, parts,
are beyond its reach now.

That’s the sort of thing that has affected many of
the private sector companies in Russia.

“Russia now has gold backed currency and no debt.”

Russian currency is a fiat currency, same as ours. Though, Putin does talk about making the ruble gold backed. This is idle talk, in my opinion.

They cannot make proper ball bearing for their trains under carriages. They were importing them. From Germany or Europe. These are now embargoed. Though Russians are not stupid, they might find ways of getting them. Via Kazakhstan middle man is one possibility.

I read one account that 10% of Russian trains are idled due to this (fwiw)

What all the doomsayers are forgetting: Radiation sickness is a equal opportunity killer and does not care about politics.

Russia had radiation sickness casualties at Chernobyl by having soldiers sleep in trenches. The Nuclear fallout will disable and kill a lot of Russian soldiers.

Using a nuclear device then sending mobilized troops through the danger zone is going to get lots of Russians dead and keep their portable crematoriums busy.

So Russia breaks through a serious red line by using battlefield nukes. What weakness this shows. That their stronk like bull army is a complete failure. A paper tiger.

What a joke the West is with our global warming paranoia. Use of nuclear weapons is the real threat.

Tis a dangerous game. We push and push....they threaten and push back. The bluster on either or both sides can get out of hand.

The threat of using a nuclear weapon is of more value than actually using a nuclear weapon.

October 5th? We shall see. So Europe freezes this winter. This will make them stronger and more difficult for Vlad to deal with.

What’s really going on is that Putin’s unnecessary invasion is putting Russia into an economic depression. Europe too. 2019 was a very good year. No Covid19 pandemic and no invasion of Ukraine.

Russia now has gold backed currency and no debt

you're thinking of last year ... Russia is currently losing $10 billion every week (or $43 billion per month) from lost gas sales, ever since they shut off the flow on Sept. 1

what country can survive losing $500 billion in annual revenue?

It’s only downhill for Russia from here. It’s military is being torn to pieces in Ukraine and its economy is suffocating. But from the Kremlin’s fan club that denial isn’t just a river in Egypt.
