The special master overseeing the Mar-a-Lago documents investigation has ordered former President Donald Trump's lawyers to back up out-of-court assertions that the FBI may have planted evidence at the property during their search last month.
Judge Raymond Dearie, the court-appointed special master, said in a filing Thursday that Trump's team needs to submit a sworn declaration saying if they believe the Justice Department included any items on their "inventory" of materials taken from Mar-a-Lago that were not actually seized during the search.
The declaration must include "a list of any specific items set forth in the Detailed Property Inventory that Plaintiff asserts were not seized from the Premises on August 8, 2022," Dearie wrote in the order.

FBI: "We got stuff from Mar-a-Lago"
Judge: "Give me (and Trump Team) a copy of what you got"
Trump team: "all good" -- OR "here is all the stuff we never heard of!"
Judge: "now let's hear both sides on the disputed items" AND, "now the FBI or DOJ can't use anything not in their submitted list"
If it goes that way, sounds reasonable??
OK< let’s see ALL that they took and are claiming came from MAL.
How can Trump prove they planted anything if he doesn’t have a full and complete detailed manifest of everything he had in his possession that they took, -—AND-— if the special master isn’t going to audit everything they say they took from him with the warrant to compare it too?
It sounds extremely unrealistic.
So basically, Trump is forced to retract his “speculation” even though he didn’t make it during any legal proceeding or under oath (as far as we know), -—OR-— he has to be able to show specifically what he believes was planted, which if done, opens up at least two subsequent outcomes; Either he can prove document by document he didn’t have it (guilty until proven innocent) -—OR-— he has to be specific about everything he had and ask them to show what they claim they took from him that he denying having possession of, which I would suggest plays right into their hands, because planted or not, they will assert that those things are/were the national security risk or illegal to keep.
In other words, they want Trump to show his cards.
Does the fbi trust the fbi.?
I would become a paranoid if I were a agent in a a corrupt agency
Exactly, the removal of President Trump’s observers and legal representation is the basis of the allegation of potential fraud.
I just think it may be a signal that this SM and the courts will take Trump literally on his statements. Not sure what it means except whatever he says under oath later better be accurate and factual. They will set a trap for him.
Best for him not to testify if this ever goes to court.
Since this is not a definitive statement, how would anyone
back it up?
I suggest this buttercup stick to his job.
This was one of the two guys Trump’s team proposed for the role.
Just imagine if they had got one of the DoJ’s picks!
“They didn’t claim it...they speculated.”
Exactly. They said could have.
I doubt Team Trump would go there, but it would be great to bring in the reams of evidence of times the FBI has planted evidence; “Russia, Russia, Russia”, etc.
“No he’s not. It’s NOT unreasonable for him to ask them to review the detailed inventory....

But then the OP is a newbie. Gotta cut ‘em some slack, ya know? Even the ones with tough guy screen names.”

We know they did
C’mon man. the leaked “nuclear secrets “ to the Washington Post—planted and Dearie can’t check it either under the rule rigged by the 11 th circuit.
“a list of any specific items set forth in the Detailed Property Inventory that Plaintiff asserts were not seized from the Premises on August 8, 2022,” Dearie wrote in the order.”
Just say it was speculation and do not list any items as being planted (unless there is hard evidence). There are no penalties involved.
How can a court order you to prove something you said outside the court?
The judge opened the door to the Trump team setting forth in a public court filing all the specific actions by the FBI giving rise to a reasonable possibility of bias and malfeasance by the FBI against Trump including an FBI lawyer fabricating statements to get a FISA warrant to spy on the Trump campaign and the use of a paid FBI source to provide fake intelligence underlying the Steele dossier among other things.
“Does the fbi trust the fbi.?”
Good point.
Probably no details, but they could certainly point to the last 6 years as a pattern of making up evidence. Good time for Trump to have the courts examine the integrity of the FBI.
From what I’ve seen over the last 30 years, I wouldn’t be surprised if the FBI manufacturerd and planted evidence.

They said “may have.” Don’t think it’s much difference than saying, “could” as in Global Warming could destroy the planet within 10 years.
