While most Republicans have given Ron DeSantis high marks for his move to fly illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard, not everyone on the right is happy.
That’s manifested mostly in Trump-world, perhaps because people in his orbit see DeSantis as a threat in 2024. Some of the major boosters of the former president actually agreed publicly with the leftwing criticism that the move was a “stunt.” Per my earlier writings, I don’t agree with that at all and believe DeSantis’ move was not only effective but highly necessary to turn the conversation onto the border crisis.
Unfortunately, former top Trump advisor Jared Kushner decided to go on Fox News and throw some barbs. In an attempt to “both sides” the issue, he suggested that DeSantis has used illegal aliens as “political pawns.”

A lot of Kushner hate here!!!……..
I don’t agree.
He’s personable, intelligent, transparent, engaging…….
Really don’t understand y’all’s attitude.
If Jared is not there Ivanka will not be there. Trump is going to have his staffing figured out ahead of time this time and he won’t have to depend on others for recommendations
Jared took a stupid pill yesterday. Big mistake to those of us who liked his spunk in defending The Donald.
Now he’s beginning to sound just like every other political hack.
If Trump wanted to put his son in charge of the ATF or the FBI, I would have been all on board. But his daughter and son-in-law should have been relegated to guests at the dinner table.
I like many don’t trust family and politics. I don’t trust him because he was never a Republican until 2016 and I doubt deep down he’s Woke but right now he has a book to sell so that’s why he’s quoted so much.
I don't understand it, either.
FWIW, DeSantis, himself, may be having second thoughts. On Tuesday he cancelled the transport of 20 illegals from Texas to Delaware.

Your antisemitism is appalling ……..should not be on FR
To be fair, last data I saw didn’t have Delaware as a sanctuary state..
That may have changed, but if Delaware isn’t a sanctuary, that’s not a good optic to send migrants/illegals to a place that isn’t declaring themselves a sanctuary..
As much as I would love to see Rehoboth Beach get a busload, if Delaware hasn’t declared as a sanctuary, that’s more like a stunt and less of a statement.
And it’s about making a statement to all those so called sanctuaries..
Jared. Pile ho suck a huge D!!!
That unelected a-whole regardless what good he may have done is a huge liability! Trump gave the son in law a piece of rope, now he thinks heya cowboy.
Go away little man. You’re a kept man under your father in laws thumb!
FOAD
Did I mention how much I hate auto correct, and my inability to proofread before I hit send🤣🤦♂️🤦♂️
Has Trump commented specifically on Martha’s Vineyard?A bigger question is has DeSantis ever "commented specifically" on the illegal immigration problem...Something someone pretending to want to be President should be talking about between Florida school stuff.
I would like to think he doesn't because he doesn't want to undermine Trump.
Biden's is in your face stuff. DeSantis flying, relocating illegals around the country without comment on the sieve at the border is in OUR face stuff.
I agree with your assessment of Kushner.
He is a traitor to his father=in-law and his country.
Leni
If Hushner was intelligent, he should be taking shots at Biden, NOT Desantis.
Trump had great agenda, but he is the past.
DeSantis is the future.
Desantis has served in the military, never divorced,
no Bimbo erruptions, no bankruptcies, does not remind women of their Ex-husband, does not post mean tweets, confronts gotch reporters with skill and without insults, and is as fearless as Trump. Republicans are very lucky to have a person like DeSantis in our party.
Yeah we know. Otherwise Kushner would be just a ordinary real estate agent no one ever heard of.
Did Jared also criticize the Biden administration for flying illegals all around the country and placing them in majority-Republican cities and states? I didn’t watch the interview, so perhaps he did.
