LOL.
Trump is lead 🐎 horse and if he runs it’s his
I know Trump got screwed out of the presidency in 2020, and I’d be glad to cast another ballot for him in 2024. I’d also be glad to cast a ballot for DeSantis in 2024. The primary voters can decide who it’ll be - the only thing I ask is that Trump not personally attack DeSantis and damage him for the future.
DeSantis is young and a damn fine Gov. Hope he waits until 2028.
I’d have a hard time choosing between Trump and DeSantis for sure. “Luckily” I live in CA and by the time I can vote in the primarily, the candidate has been all but chosen.
By the time CA could vote, McCain and Romney and Trump had already locked up the GOP nominations. None were my first choice.
trump and desantis will coordinate with each other to decide what is best.
He'll have the same pool that Trump had - maybe even smaller.
The other side has perfected the tactics of scorched earth on the lives of the supporters/appointees of leading Republican politicians.
DeSantis should NEVER run against Trump and I doubt will. Maybe Trump tap him for his VP.
I think Townhall and Kurt Schlichter are full of it.
Agreed.
After what he just pulled off on the “enriched” wealthy elitist piggies, he’d win in a landslide. I think Desantis V. Gruesome Newsom would be the perfect matchup. Gruesome would get his ass kicked royally. He’d be wishing that the recall had been successful.
I hope that DeSantis is smarter than this. A run against President Trump in 2024 would create chaos, and a lot of angry MAGA people. Imagine putting your base in that position - to choose between the man, one who has already proven himself, who has given so much, and was cheated out of his second term, and another man who you think is the perfect successor. What a stupid and destructive move that would be.
Actually, right now I don’t think DeSantis is really focusing on Trump but is waiting for things to sort themselves out and is doing what Trump should have done in the last election: attack the left, not just his political rivals in his own party.
Trump definitely won anyway, in my opinion, but I think he would have gotten more support when the attacks on him started, and even in his challenge to the elections, if he had not gone scorched earth on his rivals during the primaries. He really didn’t even need to do it.
DeSantis is focusing on fighting back against the left and he doesn’t just bluster, he does things that get under their skin but gain him a lot of support with the rest of us.
he’s not running ... these articles are bullcarp ...
Were I in RD's shoes, I would politely decline. I'd rather run later on a strong successful governorship of a large State, than on doing make-work in a nearly worthless office.
YMMV.
I can't see how he could possibly do worse.
Once Trump is out of the way, whenever and however that is, they, the evil ones, will set their lambent red eyes on DeSantis. They will do to him ALL that they did to Trump and throw in any new vileness that they can dream up. Rinse repeat, until they absolutely own the show.
What Kurt failed/forgot to mention is that DeSantis will be hated by the establishment, RINOs, commies, socialists, MSM, and dems in general every bit as Trump was and is to this day.
Now having them on the same ticket will end this kind of speculation, that said this nation might have a chance.
If DeSantis runs, he has a good chance in winning the nomination. He'll probably lose but it shouldn't stop him from running. Even if he loses, it'll set him up nicely for 2028. If he wins, he'll be like JFK, Clinton and Obama. A youthful President
