Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) leads Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL) by double digits in Florida’s gubernatorial race, a recent Echelon Insights survey found.

The survey asked respondents who they would vote for if the gubernatorial race were held today.

DeSantis enjoys a ten-point advantage, leading Crist 52 percent to 42 percent. The Republican governor also enjoys more certainty among respondents, as 43 percent said they will “definitely” vote for him, compared to 31 percent who said the same for Crist.

A poll from USA TODAY/Suffolk also found DeSantis comfortably leading his Democrat challenger by seven percentage points, or 48 percent to 41 percent.

The Echelon Insights survey was taken August 21 to September 7, 2022, among 815 registered voters in Florida, and has a +/- 4.3 percent margin of error. The USA TODAY/Suffolk survey was taken September 15-18, 2022, among 500 likely midterm voters and has a +/- 4.4 percent margin of error:

DeSantis should be leading Crist by TRIPLE digits based on comparative performance.

But Fox News say Crist is up by 25!

Nope.
Fox has DeSantis up by 5%.
Here is the RCP link to all Florida Governor's polls.
DeSantis leads in all of them.

DeSantis should be leading Crist by TRIPLE digits based on comparative performance.

Triple digits means he'll e leading by 100% or more, which is impossible.

Even if he is up by 70%, they will announce they are shutting down counting for the night, and will wait to see what the mail in ballots say, which of course will make up the difference plus a couple hundred.

!00% guaranteed, that will NOT happen.
Results will come out same night and swiftly too. And DeSantis will win very comfortably.

Needs to drag Ruby across the line. I know he’s not the best, but that’s who won the primary. And we need the Senate just to stop the stupid judges that Biden been appointing.

Not in Florida. Maybe in some weak states like Georgia and Arizona, but never in Florida will they ever do that.

I really gotta wonder, what do these politicians who know they are going to get crushed get for signing up for campaigns they know they are going to lose?

I mean, honestly, has to be a pretty big payday to sign up for months of long days, travel, dealign with the public, spouting lies to keep what little support you have motivated etc...

What’s the payday for them?

No it isn’t.
Nobody wins by 100%.
And more than 100% is mathematically impossible.

A ten point DeSantis win in Florida would be an unprecedented ass kicking in Florida where most statewide elections are decided by 1-2 points at most, to many NY liberals living in South Florida to make it a 15 point win

He certainly didn’t help himself voting “yes” for the Kigali Amendments, which was ratified by 71 Senators (all 50 Dems and 12 alleged Republicans).

He stood up to the illegal alien invaders. Sent them to the Vineyard where all the Marthas live their “enriched” lives painting “Illegal Aliens Keep Out” signs and listening to old James Taylor records and reading Barry Obama books.

OK but still typical of Fox showing Democrats with larger margin than they really have, in this case a low margin for De Santis whom FNC is rooting against.
