Former President Donald Trump claimed on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show Thursday that he declassified the government records that were taken to Mar-a-Lago – an assertion that his attorneys have avoided making in the litigation around the FBI’s seizure of the materials.
Hewitt asked Trump about an account given by his former White House aide Kash Patel that Patel witnessed Trump’s giving a verbal order to declassify the documents taken to Mar-a-Lago. (Patel, in an interview with Breitbart, said the materials Trump declassified had to do with the Russia probe, the Ukraine impeachment proceedings and “major national security matters of great public importance.”)

We all know here that everything at MaraLago was de-classified. The news, IMHO, is that CNN is reporting it.
Is Trump talking to Bushy Bot H Hewitt .
Is Trump a fool ?
Hewitt is Rhino snake .
His lawyers have nothing to do with it.
It was settled a long time ago, by the Supreme Court.
“Is Trump talking to Bushy Bot H Hewitt .
Is Trump a fool ?”
You’re right. Trump should only give interviews to loyal MAGA types on media that 90% of voters will never see or hear.
Why is he giving Ammo to a Big Enemy ?
Recall that stupid 60 Minutes L Stahl interview ?
Sure Thing
Great Idea
CNN entire audience is Hewitt wife .
But CNN and Huey can edit the interview to say anything .
I believe Trump gave the directive, and i also believe fhe snakes in the white house promptly lost the memos and emails thst recorded it or were supposed to be drafted for it, over and over, until Trump was out of office and then they say it never happened.
If this were Obama, they would hurriedly rush out a backdated memo magically making all the legal problems go poof and fifty former generals would all line up to take out ad space in the New York Times to praise Obama’s wisdom and nominate him for Motor Trend’s car of the year.
An American President can declassify any and all documents they wish and does not have to document or record the specific documents they declassify.
“Why is he giving Ammo to a Big Enemy ?”
I’m sure Trump has no plan at all and just completely forgot that Hewitt doesn’t like him.
“Recall that stupid 60 Minutes L Stahl interview ?”
Yep, I’m sure Trump learned no lessons from that either.
“But CNN and Huey can edit the interview to say anything .”
Maybe, just maybe, Trump demanded to tape the interview himself to deter them from doing so? Maybe?
So now these documents are unprotected.
Are Trumps lawyers working for him or the government, like Flynns were?
He can and he did. They keep trying to make something out of it thinking it will disqualify him from running but it will go nowhere.
Note the date.
Once again CNN claims Without Evidence, that they are a news organization...
An American President can declassify any and all documents they wish and does not have to document or record the specific documents they declassify.
That's the important point that the lying media, and the Democrat party (but I repeat myself) keep trying to tell. They're trying to say that some unelected bureaucrat has to give the final OK before a document is declassified, and that some particular procedure has to be followed. That's absurd on its face: the federal deep state lifers derive whatever executive authority they have from the president. The president can declassify a document simply by his actions, treating it as declassified. The people pushing this lie think we're stupid.
Whether or not the documents were declassified is irrelevant to Trump’s management of them. As President he is granted by the constitution full and absolute access to any material produced during his administration for the duration of his life. This is non revokable, notwithstanding Biden’s attempt to do so. The Biden administration is in direct and absolute conflict with the Constitution over this very issue.
Exactly.
Plenary, in fact.
“(CNN adds that 2nd clause to save face)”
The best way CNN can save face is to stick that face where the sun don’t shine ... oh wait it’s already there isn’t it?
