Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed his forces have taken back over 3,000 square kilometres (~74,000 acres) from Russia within the last two weeks.

I wonder what real good those nukes do them and us and the other nations with them as well? Beyond a certain number to annihilate others and a system to deliver that’s hard to neutralize; submarines, what is the value of extras of something you will never use? Unless Putin sells them and the knowhow to maintain and deliver them to others for cash/gold/etc do they benefit Russia? Looking for a deep dive critique here.
Can an argument be made that they should be used now and then here and there, selectively, to really maximise and maintain their deterrent effect? How much of a deterrent is having them, really, if barely anyone alive remembers their last use in war (1945)? Not really advocation for their use, just pondering whats going on in Putin’s head about their value to Russia as things turn for them in Ukraine. And I’m certain everyone else who has them has thought the same thoughts. They are expensive to maintain credibly. After seeing Russia’s performance and equipment in Ukraine recently, who else wonders if their nukes are really well maintained and usable for them?

Yep, I’m sure Russia’s traditional customers like India are looking at the performance of Russia’s military and wondering if it is time to switch vendors.
This is the Battle of the Bulge 2.0. The Germans pushed their unsustainable counteroffensive for the Goebbels headlines and they were on a high for a few weeks too before reality set in. Here we have a two front offensive: Kherson, which cost Zelenski thousands of dead and wounded and was easily rolled up, and now Kharkov which was the weakest point in the line and which they’re throwing their last effective troops at. The Russians will take their time on this, grinding them down and regaining it all just like they did with the last Kharkov offensive in May.

I can see we’ve learned nothing from history. How did imposing ruinous terms of Versailles Treaty work out for Europe and America? Here we go again. Can someone explain to me how destroying Russia, the last defence against debt and surveillance slavery of WEF, Soros, the EU, World bank and Globalists, will usher in a new golden age for the average citizen?

You have a strange idea of this situation.
This is not a failed breakthrough, which the Bulge was, stopped from exploitation by “hard shoulders” (there are no hard anything vis a vis the Russians now), several blocking forces that imposed major delays and chokepoints (St. Vith, Bastogne), and an impenetrable stop line before the Meuse. And then the vastly superior Allied reserves came in and stomped what was left.
The Ukrainians cracked the Russian lines and then...drove through next to no significant opposition, and haven’t seen it yet. Since then they have been in exploitation mode This is not over by any means, the Russian rear areas still seem wide open to rampaging Ukrainians. I suspect the only things holding the Ukes back is that they are outrunning their supplies, and simple exhaustion. And there are, so far, no Russian reserves ready to counterattack.
This is more akin to Sharon and Tal’s Israeli breakthrough and exploitation in 1967.
The only thing I know for sure about all this is that 3,000 square kilometers is not 74,000 acres; it’s 740,000 or so.
