It is one of the oldest forms of government and works under just circumstances. That has not happened...yet
The elderly Charles and Camilla must be bone tired and emotionally exhausted by now. I hope Charles doesn’t have to do battle with any more fountain pens and pen holders.
You project fallaciously
73 is not old
73 is most definitely old. It is not young and it is not middle age. He will be 74 in November, at which point he will be 7 years away from the current life expectancy age for men in the UK of 81.
Becoming King and the loss of the Queen is a double whammy......considering he’s been the King in waiting his entire life at 74 in Nov. his day is muffled by the sorrow and grief and his mother and the nations Queen. Tough ride.
The Queens daughter Anne has really picked up a lot of slack for Charles and Camilla. Escorting her mother these past days .....she is the hardest working Royal as it’s been said for years, but she doesn’t like the press nor the limelight but just “gets on with it” as she says. She is more like her father than the Queen. A no nonsense woman.
According to a Nostradomos report from back in the day King Charles III wwill abdicate and someone will be coming out of left field to replace .
heck what do i know, ???
nuttin
Not sure what the WP meant by “first time.”
Elizabeth’s ceremony was televised when she was proclaimed Queen.
I remember when a young Charles, P. (for Princeps) wrote Mad Magazine complaining that Alfred E. Newman did not, in fact, look like him. Charles was about 10 at the time, so it would have been ca. 1959. Mad did not claim to have verified the identity of the writer beyond the Charles, P. signature.
The Royal Family brings in at least five times, via tourism generated tax money, as the Royal Family receives from the British Treasury. Also, Royal gossip sells many newspapers and gains viewers for various television stations.
King Charles started a degree in archaeology and anthropology, but switched to history before graduating. I will point out that 90% of history majors who become teachers in North Carolina have the same first name, “Coach”. After seventy years as heir to the throne, I sincerely doubt he will reign as long as his mother. To Charles: Best wishes and may you do as well as your mother.
