I think a week is proper, but much more than that should be a personal choice. Of course, my primary concern is when will the Premier League start up again.

Let’s watch to see if the new King now tries to get new PM to repeal fracking & carbon fuel initiatives announced this week.

If your point is each age has its crisis and struggles then I agree.

If your point is things have not been deteriorating to the point western society today as we’ve known it is not on the verge of extinction I would beg to differ. Just IMO.

I hope her dogs will be well taken care of, and are not too broken hearted. But. Dogs mourn more than people sometimes.

Charles will be 74 in November. Apparently he ran the complete rope line at Buckingham Palace whn he arrivd...which media called a good start. Shaking hands with the public is significant for royals and something which Charles wasn’t real populiar in doing - before.

I think Charles rcognizes that where he goes, does and who he sees will often be determined by other people now.

Give it a rest, will you? Can’t a man be allowed to bury his mother in peace?

The line of succession goes to Prince William and his kids next.

Watch out for little Princess Charlotte, aged 7, if she can bump off the Duke and her brother she be Queen before she is 17, lol

House Atreides beware

He’s not truly King until after coronation. And will he keep the name Charles or choose another? The first two named Charles didn’t do too well.

For our info: DIEU ET MON DROIT”

Kings of centuries ago used the motto to claim divine right to rule, which today’s monarchy no longer does.

Who does he think he is? Brandon?

He thinks he is his Majesty Charles the Third, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of His other Realms and Territories King, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith. Who are you?

Do the right thing, Charles. Abdicate to Prince William and do the world a favor.

Or better yet...end this farce and declare the British monarchy over.

Have you noticed that the crowd shots are all tight shots?

The crowds are underwhelming.

“At 73, I don’t see him lasting long as King.”

His father lived to be 99, his mother lived to be 96, and his grandmother lived to be 101.

The NHS is not that good, the Royal Family has longevity.

But anything can happen even with good genes in the family. The real irony would be if Charles dies sooner than expected, Edward VII waited almost as long to be king, and was there only a short period of time. I guess we will see.

By his parents’ standard, Charles vould live to be 100 or so, so we’re looking at a 20+ year reign for Charles. William will then be in his 60s and his children in their 20s...
So... setting the Windsor dynasty to go well into the 22nd century!!!
