Myles Sanderson was ordered to stay away from alcohol, drugs
Long before he became the main suspect in a mass killing and the subject of a multi-province alert, Myles Sanderson had a history of explosive violence, according to Parole Board of Canada documents from February of this year.
Sanderson's contacts with the criminal justice system span more than two decades. As an adult, he racked up 59 convictions for assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, assaulting a police officer and robbery. Roughly half of the offences were for breaches or failure to comply with pre-existing orders. Because of his violent behaviour, he has a lifetime prohibited weapons ban....

Pretty easy to tell... Canada doesn't have a 'three strikes, you're out' law.
Oh, Canada? How’s that ‘lifetime prohibited weapons ban’ working for y’all?
I wonder what it will take to get the loonies off of the streets, here. there and everywhere?
We’ve had politicians assaulted by nutcases and they don’t do much about it, either!
Sanderson, 30, was one of two suspects wanted by police after a string of fatal stabbings in Saskatchewan on Sunday left 10 people dead and many more injured. One of the suspects, Damien Sanderson, 31, was found dead Monday. Police are still searching for Myles, who is Damien’s brother.
Damien Sanderson, 31, was found dead with wounds that did not appear to be self-inflicted, said Rhonda Blackmore, commanding officer of the Saskatchewan RCMP.
His body was found in a heavily grassed area of the James Smith Cree Nation at about 11:30 a.m. on Monday, near a house police were examining as part of the investigation.
Police are still searching for his brother, Myles Sanderson, 32.
apparently the new rule is 60 strikes and you are out
The first time it was his fault, the other 58 times it was Canada’s fault.
So... the Kanadian government is okay with him using weapons that are not on the prohibited weapons list.
Once again, it's not the weapon, it's the criminal. Banning weapons is just a tyrannical attempt to disarm innocent civilians because a government intends to do them harm.
well there you go the second suspect was found dead. apparantly of natural causes in a heavily grassed area ( THAT is a joke) ...lol..altho it would not surprise me he was heavily grassed an buncha other stuff besides
hey the other guy is like 30 with over 50 convictions how is this letting these violent offenders working out for canada?
damn we have same problem in this country. LOCK them up. KEEP them locked up.
LEX
Perp needed to meet Smith and Wesson a long time ago.
Could it be fetal alcohol effect at work here? Not an excuse but a reason.
As long as he doesn’t have a pointed stick.
If only there were some way that authorities could have known he was dangerously violent.
....just for your edification, you are correct that there is a list, indeed an insane list, of selective guns that ARE prohibited in Canada.
That said, there are many others that are not. I’ve been in Canada many times and have checked through their border offices with weapons. It never took more than 3 or 4 minutes and was just kind of “slam, bam, thank you sir” plus payment of a $25.00 fee. I once invited them out to my vehicle to look at the guns and they declined.
My reason for being there was my multi year habit of going down the Yukon by myself. I can say that I’ve never seen ANYONE on the Yukon without a weapon and as long as they (the guns) are not on Canada’s list and you seem like a straight guy there is no problem. I’ve even had two RCMJ officers in my boat south of Dawson City. They stopped to help me because I was a hundred miles from nowhere and no people. Inside my boat were guns laying around all over the place. They were two of the nicest and politest young men I’ve ever encountered. And, they fixed my GPS in two minutes!
Hey Canadians; How does it feel to be defenseless? Just criminals have weapons now. Suckers!
Apparently, these brothers are Natives.
Who were the victims?
10 dead and many wounded.
All very strange.
Now, it appears that Damien has been offed by Myles and Myles is in the wind.
Yup most Canadians cover their eyes and ears chanting “mass shootings don’t happen here like the USA”
Agree. I always say a doctor does surgery, not the scalpel.
so they kicked the can down the road 59 times...
The problem with the RCMP, UNLIKE the FBI which rotten to the core, is the leadership and the corporate culture. And the fact they have no accountability. Imagine the only organization the RCMP is accountable to is the Parliament. That is too slow and unwieldy. Part of the corporate culture rot is the RCMP just arbitrarily from time to time declares a fire arm to be on their banned list.
