“She’s a TEACHER!! She may not have 2 pennies.”
Perhaps, but the article says she’s an hairess, so there are people in her family rolling in dough. Now that we’re Third World, those people need to look out for themselves.
Yep
Back when I used to run (a lot), at times I would run very early on a very hot day. That said, one morning I was just doing some basic running around town, no hills or speed work. After a while I turned a corner onto a very long, straight street. Over a mile down the road were a pack of dogs, 7 or 8. I took a different route home and avoided running early near home.
Kinda light for 4am.
Agreed, that’s why I wasn’t sure if the pic was day of abduction.
And who saw her being abducted? Could it have been voluntary?
Runaway bride style? It reads like she got in the van...
Truth will out - and then, who runs at 4am?
Now security they did not see him
Stupid white women.
The same white women that run alone in the woods.
It took 52 posts?
FReepers are slipping.
Germantown is the white flight suburb to the east of Memphis, Collierville is the newer white flight suburb further east of Germantown which got popular as Memphis started encroaching on Germantown.
This woman evidently lived in Midtown and where she was abducted would be considered East Memphis. Midtown has a lot of beautiful old homes and there is a lot of old money there. However, in Memphis you're never more than a couple of blocks from a ghetto and nowhere is safe. I have rented short term apartments in Midtown and enjoyed the area, but you don't leave anything in your car at night if you want your windows intact in the morning. It's that bad. It could be really nice but it would take removing about 85% of the population to make it safe. I wouldn't live there permanently myself. Then again, I wouldn't live in Germantown or Collierville permanently either. Memphis is basically a cesspool and there is no place within 100 miles of it that I'd want to live on a permanent basis.
Lake Como looks nice, if you don’t mind George Clooney as a neighbor.
Can I borrow $80 million from you?
If I won the lottery (fat chance since I rarely play), I'd spend a significant part of the year in Traben-Trarbach, Germany.
I lived there from 77-81 when I was in the Army. Beautiful town, great people. I still buy wine from a winemaker in Briedel, about 10 miles north of Traben.
During my last two years, my daily commute took me through the Urziger Wurzgarten vineyards. When I was moved from the ADA battery at Hahn, to battalion HQ in 79, Spangdahlem AB, I didn't move, thinking I'd be leaving in about six months.
That’s cool, I’m glad you got to enjoy that. My favorite place I’ve been is Iceland. To be fair, I was there in Summer and not Winter.
If I ever get to travel again, no vax, I want to go to Zermatt Switzerland, and swing through Geneva, Bern, Lucerne, and Zurich.
Eliza Fletcher, 34, was last seen about 4.20am on Friday, when she was jogging in Memphis and a man approached her and forced her into an SUV after a brief struggle, police said.

I do but carry a nice .40 Smith loaded with hydra-shocks. Whenever I’m out in the woods I always carry - this since my folks live deep in heavily forested land.
Well, that makes you a smart white woman. :)
Tend to stay that way bunkey - I come from a military family and was taught well.
