Marines standing at attention
were they? with hands in front?
Choreographed props..................
Looked like parade rest to me.
“Marines standing at attention were they? with hands in front?”
Please help the uneducated.....is that not proper?
They were at attention and saluted as he and his old woman handler walked out and then they stood at parade rest as he spoke.
Parade rest is with hands behind the back.
Marines don’t stand that way.
They must have been ordered to do so.
It most definitely looks strange, unmilitary.
Modified parade rest.
I don't know WTF it is ... and until proven otherwise (names, ranks, unit assignments) I maintain that they weren't Marines, they were actors wearing marine costumes.

They were at “Parade Rest”
were they? with hands in front?
I noticed that as well. Not having been a Marine myself, I was a bit confused by the stance. That sure as hell didn't look like 'at ease', or 'rest' or 'attention' to my eyes.
I believe it is called “At Rest” They assume the same posture when they stand at the entrance at the white house door.
