A 27-year-old man charged with raping and impregnating a 9-year-old Ohio girl has been scheduled to go on trial in October. The case generated national controversy when the victim traveled to Indiana to secure an abortion in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health overturning Roe v. Wade.
This story was the biggest thing in the news two months ago.

Questions we will never get answers to. Was this 10 yr old a biological daughter of the woman claiming to be the mother? Could this child be a victim of child traffickers? Has this child and the other children in the house been removed to foster care? Is this case one of many being hidden by the planned parenthood, illegal alien industry?

If they are menstruating they can get pregnant. I remember a girl in my 5th grade class having an embarrassing surprise at school. I think that was my first and only sex education lesson (from my older sister) who explained it and told to STFU and never make a joke about it. She was probably 9 or 10.
Instead of setting a trial date, they should be sharpening a cleaver.
I was physically able at age 10. Very embarrassing at that age.

9 or 10 is third or fourth grade. Fifth grade is 10 or 11. Still a little on the early side, but yeah, that happens.

My wife started her periods at 9, she’s English born and bred. My birth mom was pregnant at 14 (older man, cult community) and she’d been raped since she first ‘bled’. Her menarche was at 11. That was in the 70s. She was also white British.
And our village primary school has 2-3 girls out of every 20 starting their periods before hitting age 11.
More often than not, girls getting pregnant at that age is a consequence of older boys or adult men forcing them into it.
That’s why our statutory age of consent presumes all sex under the age of 13 is rape no matter what the circumstances. And we have “grooming” - the concept that no matter how a man goes about bribing a girl into bed at that age he cannot obtain a legal, free and legitimate consent.
Even if he gives a preteen a million pounds and the kid takes it, it’s still rape and the bribe is an aggravating factor not a defense.
Just because they’re capable of conceiving at that age, doesn’t mean their bodies have developed enough to carry to term. Hence the need for abortion IF the child’s life depends on it - and only if the child’s life depends on it.
