Former President Donald Trump has insisted that he immediately be re-installed as president or that a new election be called. His reasoning? A Mark Zuckerberg interview in which the Facebook founder reiterated his previous claim that the FBI warned him of a potential dump of Russian misinformation weeks before the 2020 general election that Trump lost to President Joe Biden.
Yes, the former president really did demand he be reinstated as president 664 days after losing the election. By any objective measure, it’s nuts. Batshit crazy.
Trump first made the bizarre demand on his fledgling social media platform Monday at midday, then “re-truthed” his comments at roughly 2 a.m. Tuesday:

Article IV section 4 states that we are guaranteed a republican form of government.
Do you believe that it's the people, whether it be directly or indirectly, who are the ultimate source of our government or do you believe that it's the fraudsters who are?
Now what would be "batshit crazy" would be for Marc Elias or other Democrat party legal spokesmen to twist the language of the 22nd Amendment:
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.and claim between election day 2024 and inauguration day 2025 that Trump had actually been elected to the office in 2016 and 2020 and so was ineligible to be elected a third time in 2024 even though he'd only held the office the one time. The writers of the 22nd never having considered the possibility of someone who'd been elected to it never being allowed to subsequently hold the office.
The non-batshit crazy response to that would be to say (1) the clear intent of the 22nd was to prevent prevent being elected to and holding 3 full terms as president. Since under the above scenario less than 2 years would remain of the "2020 election" term so Trump isn't afoul of the 10 year limit in holding the office and so can be elected. And then to, since the Democrats just stipulated that Biden was not really elected in 2020 that he and all his appointees be immeadiately removed from office and replaced by Trump to serve out the rump of that term. And that all the common law and other provisions existing to cover false position holders—ie. those we've been told couldn't be applied—now do apply as best as these laws allow. And to remand all the election fraud committers for appropriate prosecution.
“Sworn into office” is moot when predicated upon fraud.
Like the rights secured by the Constitution, which rights exist and precede it whether a document inscribes them or not, fraud is a violation of public trust that vitiates the results, which are to be considered null and void.
There was no legitimate presidential election in 2020. There is currently no legitimate President. The Constitution does not anticipate or address fraudulent elections, and that is why we have an unconstitutional crisis, i.e. it goes beyond the bounds of the text itself.
I don’t know. I never really looked into it myself.
And thus your naive opinion that Biden won the election, that Trump didn't win two elections and that Trump will thwart the red wave.
Meanwhile, I think it’s VERY dangerous and delusional for EverTrumpers (and any other Republican) to think Biden could NOT have won that many voters.
You're a poster who hasn't looked into the the evidence of voter fraud yet you proclaim people who have, are delusional.
Neat.
Get lost, bozo.
The debacle is due to a fixed election. Why not continually remind folks of this simple fact? Whats to stop it from happening again if the spotlight isnt kept on it? If Trumps not going to do it...who is? Fox?
I mean despite his rhetoric, Trump is not wrong. He was robbed and the FBI played a huge part. Is that not worth reminding folks about as well?
Real issue: economy. Everything else ranks a distant second. If the GOP and/or right leaning media cant find a way to put the blame for the dismal economy directly on Biden, even with Trump bloviating, then theyre really not worthy of winning anything.
What POTUS DJT said was legit. I don’t know what is next, but he was telling the truth.
Drip...drip...drip...
That the best you got?
“A good example of how Trump’s unforced errors distracts from the real issues about the Biden debacle. This will get more air time than the flood of aliens across the border.”
Both can be discussed at the same time. The MSM isn’t going to cover the overrun border, anyway.
There is zero chance of a new election in the middle of the term—and why would he want two years and a few months rather than a full four years (if he wins in 2024). But making such a demand makes it easy to portray him as nuts.
“According to our constitution, once a President is sworn into office, the only way to remove him is via impeachment or the 25th amendment. And then once removed, the order of succession is very clear, and President Trump is not in it.”
Per ATC23- “We’re in completely uncharted waters and we certainly are in a Constitutional Crisis -now”
Is that you, Mitch?
Two trolls - waste of time engaging them.
Not a troll! We have to progress as a party and a movement. You want to make the party and movement all about one very flawed man and never move on from him. Trump has served us in a great capacity but it’s time to hand the baton to someone else, as Trumps ego trumps everything to him and thats going to be our downfall! That is the difference between me and you!
And the more you ignore us, the more posts that we will have here with no replies or replies such as yours, and it may convince more than a few people that we are right. It is your job to convince us to see it a different way!
That's what the Democrats are saying as well.
LOL! Delusional!
brilliant 👏
That's pretty much what the Biden administration is saying about the Trump administration. So you have two administrations, each says the other is fraudulent. What now?
