Republican lawmakers have been quick to slam President Joe Biden's recent student-loan forgiveness announcement — and Democrats aren't letting it slide.
On Wednesday, Biden announced up to $20,000 in student-loan forgiveness for Pell Grant recipients making under $125,000 a year, and $10,000 for other federal borrowers within the same income cap. While this was a long-awaited policy that many Democrats were waiting for the president to implement, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was not thrilled with the expansive relief.

“Aren't letting it slide”?
As if rewarding deadbeats is something that should not be
criticized? Makes no sense.

This isn’t the dunk Warren thinks it is, but I expect as much from a midwit like her. How about this question, why is college so damned expensive?

And Warren can spare us the lectures on what will be good for the economy. With a $67m net worth her economy will always be good.

Costs were cheaper 150 years ago.

I attended Gonzaga from 1972 - 1976. At that time, tuition and fees were 10-12K a year.
Now it's about 45-50K a year. Sounds about right.

This isn’t the dunk Warren thinks it is, but I expect as much from a midwit like her. How about this question, why is college so damned expensive? For the same reason that healthcare is so expensive. Certain favored groups have almost limitless money thrown at them to spend on healthcare and college so hospitals and universities raise their prices in order to capture all the profit they can. It's the same thing that happened when they announced the $7500 electric vehicle credit the other day then GM and Ford raised their EV prices by almost the exact same amount.

And you can bet that not a single professor/instructor at any level of that college McConnell went to pulled down the RIDICULOUS multi-hundred thousand dollar salary this IDIOT made while she spewed her bullshit at Harvard. Academia is a criminal scam, and she profited mightily from it (all while pretending to be Native American).

You gotta remember that $330/yr was back when he bought his textbooks directly from Johannes Gutenberg himself, so things were a little less expensive then.

Higher education prices went through the roof when government stepped in to make it “affordable.”

If you can’t afford a high-priced four-year college, go to your local community college. Or to a trade school. There is NOTHING sacrosanct about a four-year degree from a university.
