As President, Trump was head of the Executive Branch. He could have removed Fauci from his position as Director of NIAID from Day One of the pandemic. Foolishly, Trump did not. Instead, Trump pushed for his moronic "Operation Warp Speed," which was the but-for cause of all the destruction that followed.
The buck either stops with the President or it doesn't. All this Trump-can-do-no-wrong nonsense is pathetic.
I have known all along that everything Trump did during the pandemic would eventually be used against him if he runs again.

Trump is very vulnerable when it comes to Covid, and will be unable to hammer Biden as nearly anyone else could on the issue.

The vaccine did not start under Joe biden. Mask mandates did not start under Joe biden. Shutting down schools and businesses did not start under Joe biden. People need to wake up and realize that Donald Trump started all of this, he’s the one who released a vaccine that didn’t have enough testing to know whether it was safe or not, he’s the one that allowed the country to be shut down, he’s the one that didn’t allow you to go see your families when they were dying because all of this happened under Donald Trump before Joe Biden was even elected. So let’s knock this off about Trump being so innocent in this.
Trump needs to get out in front of it now. Admit that he believed the experts in an emergency. Then start talking about the lies about safe and effective. Talk about Biden, the military, schools, colleges, the media, employers forcing, mandating and shaming to get vaxxed. Explain he always said it should be a choice just like hydroxychloriquine and ivermectin. Continue on with all the CDC and FDA now releasing the horrendous results of the vax.
Again, Biden, Democrats, and the media falsely stated they are safe and effective even after they knew they weren’t. Explain about the side effects and a sudden Adult DeathbSyndrome and how our media took money from Big Pharma and lied to keep the money coming. Pound them hard. I have never said Trump can do no wrong, HOWEVER Trump left office BEFORE the vax was ever distributed YES he moved a hell of a lot of bureaucracy getting the vax to the public but he was long gone before distribution OR knowing whether the damn thing worked or not, sorry but I honestly believe the Pharma companies KNEW they could get away with a lot more with Biden in office!! Big pharma created it. The FDA approved it. Fauci pumped it up and wanted to give it to babies. Democrats mandated and obsessed over it. Trump simply asked them to expedite the production. The “scientists” could have just said it was not possible.
