On July 21, members of the Ukrainian parliament decided to increase their salaries by 70 percent raise. After the bill for this decision had only been submitted on July 18, the parliamentarians were able to carry out the vote unusually quickly, reported the Overton magazine. According to the magazine, this decision, which was unanimously approved by all the remaining parties, would have been possible so quickly in the absence of a lack of opposition.
Instead of 28,800 hryvnia as before, the “servants of the people”, as Vladimir Zelensky’s party is called, now earn 49,600 hryvnia per month. Since July 15, the hryvnia fell from 0.33 euros to 0.026 euros per hryvnia. This currently corresponds to around 1,300 euros. According to Overton Magazine, it was officially emphasized that
“that no additional funds from the state budget or funds from international partners are used for this”.
However, after Decree 7561 “Additionals to the salary of deputies are used from the state budget, which includes international financial aid”.

Gee, they really do embrace western values!
We have a dedicated cadre of freepers who think we should all die for Ukraine.

But, conveniently, they themselves are nowhere near the frontlines.
Did Vlad get a raise as well? Wouldn’t surprise me if Ukraine and Russia are in this together to squeeze the US dry. Ukraine gets the money and gives “the big guy”, Vlad, a percentage, all to weaken the USA. I wonder if they give China a cut as well, wouldn’t surprise me.
“Shall we continue to build palace after palace for the rich? Or shall we aspire to a more noble purpose and build decent housing for the poor? How does the senate vote? Entire Senate : ‘F’ THE POOR!”
They should be donating their entire salaries to their war effort.
The fact they aren’t tells you something.
Brave Ukraine Heroes need our full support! To not give every last cent in the Treasury is to support Putin and his army of Orks. Each Ukraine political leader deserves the extra war time pay. Each day they wake up with a target upon them. They are marked men and deserve the few extra dollars. They are winning against all odds and humbling Russia. In so doing they are putting their lives on the line. Everyday they fight is another day we will not. This is a war between Good and Evil—They need everything we can give them and more. I would rather see Ukraine’s in Body Bags than American soldiers coming home in them. Another few Billions is a small price to pay.
For what it’s worth, they are paying themselves less than half what they pay the soldiers.
$1300 is not big bucks anywhere.
Some time ago this war ceased to be between Ukraine and Russia and turned into a confrontation between Russia and a bunch of war mongering idiots in the US along with their socialist sympathizers in Europe. If it wouldn’t be for the US doing their best to prolong and promote it, this conflict would be over by now, Ukraine would have gotten rid of some of the radical agitators and a lot of people still would have a roof over their heads.
Actually we should embrace their values. After the raise the Ukrainian Parliament members will be earning the equivalent of $16,125 per year. Compared to the $174,000 our reps in Congress are paid that seems like a bargain.
Looks very dangerous. So dangerous that dozens of politicians and celebrities have visited Zelensky in Kiev.
As I learned in Nam, the further from the front the more bloodthirsty they get.
49,600 hryvnia equals US$1300.
About three times the average wage in Ukraine.
Liz Cheney made US$33 million during her six years in Congress.
About 660 times the average US wage.
“As I learned in Nam”
I had a friend who was in Vietnam. He was stationed at Kum Kwat Yiam, which is just south of Chu Mai Dong.

“Information Terrorists”. Not one cent to this shythole.
