A specially appointed prosecutor dropped charges Tuesday, including murder, against Atlanta, Georgia, police officers Garrett Rolfe and Devin Brosnan, who shot and killed Rayshard Brooks in a June 2020 incident that led to Black Lives Matter riots.
Brooks, 27, a black man, had fallen asleep in his vehicle in a Wendy’s drive-thru and was questioned by the officers, who had been called to the scene. After speaking with the officers, he resisted arrest and stole an officer’s Taser, firing it at them. Rolfe fired at Brooks, who was killed.
A mob then arrived and burned the Wendy’s. Democrats, including failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, said the shooting was “murder.” Celebrities, such as Justin Timberlake, joined in condemning police.
One of the officers’ stepmother was fired from her job. The then-Fulton County district attorney said that police officers ought to be indicted without a grand jury investigation. And the media reported yet another example of alleged racist police brutality.
Brooks joined the ranks of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor among the iconic victims of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Shooting the prowler which some neighbors apprehended was justifiable, but the government rammed those men into prison on trumped up charges.
I should note that this is just before the 2022 election.
The Democrats know how to work their lawlessness with a finesse.
I remember the stepmother of one of those officers was fired for her from her job from her woke employer. I wonder if they’ll reinstate her with back pay and damages? When pigs fly.
Athletic shoe and electronics stores on lockdown.
BLM was organized by Obama/Holder’s DOJ, to diminish the power and standing of local police, and put them under the political control of DOJ/FBI

A half hour before dusk.
I don’t think you’ll see much, if any, rioting.
This happened when the BLM/ANTIFA stuff was already going on and Brooks became a local hero. Atlanta’s own George Floyd.
The biggest tragedy in this whole thing is the young girl who was killed by one of the guys that, more or less, took control of that intersection and the street in front of the Wendy’s. They were there for a while. Woman driving down the road with her child. Forced to turn around and one of them shot into her car for no reason.
The police came up with a plan of action to “take back” the intersection and street and Mayor KiKi told them, NOPE. This is also the same woman who was letting her teenage son go downtown to participate in the “peaceful protests”.
Brooks is yesterday’s news.
Now, when the cops successfully sue the pants off of: APD, Bottoms, Howard, the DAs office, Eminem and a few others, things might get interesting.
The damage is done. Cops don’t want to do anything now for fear of being public enemy #1 before any fair analysis.
Prior to all the “hands-off” tools mandated for use by police this guy would have been grabbed, cuffed, and stuffed with no publicity but any cop who goes hands on with a minority suspect now risks prosecution, persecution, and a life ruining event.
Repeat your last transmission. My radio is acting up. Can’t quite understand the message.
How can it be possible that good men ever want to go into policing in these democrat run cities. Either they will be prosecuted anytime a perp resists arrest or they will have to ignore a certain subset of criminals. I understand if you already have a number of years of seniority it would be more difficult to leave, but why would anyone new start? Every honest policeman on the force should have gone on strike as soon as those men were wrongly accused of a crime. Because they should understand their leadership does not give a single sh_t about their existence.
Rat cities will devolve into warlord/cartel-controlled areas like in Mexico or Afghanistan. Armed thugs will provide all the ‘protection’ the citizens need.
