Well, the plan is for Americans, especially the poor, to borrow the money to build solar panels on their homes, and to purchase electric vehicles.
Then...
In a year or two, when the buyers of the solar panels and EVs suddenly and unexpectedly find themselves in deep credit problems, unable to pay back their loans...
they’ll be able to ask the federal government to pay off their debts, and VOILA!!!, those customers will have clear credit histories and able to spend again whatever they get as wages and government money.
If the democrats can do it for student loans, they can certainly do it for EV loans and solar panel loans.
See? It’s all very simple.
If you rent, NONE of this applies......................
And make sure your tires are inflated. Turn up the thermostats!!
Jimmy Carter all over again.
The rebates could cover between half and all the typical $14,000 cost of installing an electric heat pump, as well as much of the cost of electric water heaters, stoves and ovens and clothes dryers, as well as upgrading the home’s breaker boxes and electric wiring. The legislation sets aside $4.5 billion over 10 years for this provision.
To alleviate concerns that low-income households would have to pay for the items up front, rebates could be provided at the point of sale or contractors could claim them, for example. It would depend on how state energy offices, which would administer the rebates, would set up their programs.

Electric this, electric that. Plus EVs. Seems they want to collapse the grid.

1 billion to help purchase zero-emission school buses, garbage trucks, and transit buses.
Geez, they can’t get a EV pickup truck towing a 6k camper to go more than 100 miles and they expect buses and garbage trucks to be feasible? Garbage trucks can run 40-80,000 lbs.
Tax credits in the bill will cover 30% of the cost of buying a rooftop solar system and home battery storage. The average cost of a rooftop solar system is around $20,000, according to the Solar Energy Industries Association. But that upfront cost will result in energy bill savings every year and add value to a home.

I don’t have $14,000 for a discounted rooftop solar system. I could probably DIY a lot cheaper than that but that probably isn’t covered.
but what about the donors waiting in the wings to capitalize on the forced transition to green energy?
how many dream of being the richest person in the world a la elon musk?
If you spend $30k you don’t have to buy solar panels they might pay for themselves over the next 20 years..But probably not.
Heat pumps.
Do people really still fall for these gimmicks? When i turn on the heat I like, well, you know....HEAT! Not room temperature air blowing from vents.
It tickles me when I hear the Left tell us “to stay out of our bedrooms.”
Okay, but THEY ARE THE ONES IN EVERY DARN ROOM IN OUR HOUSES , AND INCLUDING OUR GARAGES.
We should tell them constantly to STAY OUT OF OUR LIVES.
This really isn't any different. The government drives the price of energy through the roof then subsidizes it with our tax dollars for democratic voters. Meanwhile the middle class finds themselves in debt up to their eyeballs trying to pay their bills while the "poor" (democratic voters) light up another joint while watching their 75" TV in the air conditioned comfort of their free housing.
Ya gotta spend money to save money! Duh!
Loved that goofy song. We suffered having that idiot Granholm as Governor and now we another just as bad. Mi has too many rats.
"Well, thanks to our bipartisan infrastructure laws you get 30% off that $400 pair of sneakers and you can finance the rest!"
Thanks, lady.
