I would love to be laid off but no chance in h*** that happens.
Right after the election the wheels aren’t going to just come off, they’re going to blow off in a nuclear fireball.
Big layoffs may be coming, but probably not until after the election.
This will be another MSM hush up.
Nothing will be said about this until January and likely not even then.
After a period of hiring, a 10% cut is useful to get rid of hiring mistakes and various dead wood.

The strongest economy is one made up of small(ish) businesses that are always competing, inventing, and adapting.
My company already had one layoff about a month ago. Seemed to layoff people who were spending a lot of their time in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion propaganda out company has been very very aggressively pushing.
They also issued a statement that employees needed to increase their productivity and that these DEI goals weren’t being dropped, but rather we needed to focus more on our production of products.
This is a fairly large company that does business all over the world. They said one of the reasons they were engaging in the DEI goals was that we needed our government contracts and that we compete directly with companies like Google, SpaceX, Amazon, etc. So to compete we have to comply.
I can see it now. Joe will claim some have lost jobs and some have gained jobs so the layoff rate is zero.
There a lot of “help wanted” signs in my area, A lot.
But the world can change overnight.
Not seen nothing yet.
Wait till large scale AI and robotics go mainstream.
Universal basic income for all.
