Because no matter what they say, most people do not understand inflation.

If inflation is at 10% a business needs to see sales increase 10% just to tread water.

This is also going to lead to more job churn in the market as workers jump jobs trying to keep up with inflation.

Won’t they look divine carrying their teacup poodles in their shopping bags?

Walmart sometimes has low-quality items with the same brand name, made especially for them.

You are correct.

(a contraction just happened and I do not for the life of me understand why people cannot see it.)

They have Covid-19(84) brain. A desire (completely understandable) to have things return to “normal” when in fact those days, sadly, will never return.

Not even 2004 levels. Not even 2019 levels.

Oh good.

I’ll be able to hit them up for some condiments at the next intersection!

The ONLY Class that is gaining monetarily via handouts are the feral inner-city tribal parasites.

Walmart also has some store brand items that are the same quality as name brand.
That being said, I usually shop the grocery ads and plan meals accordingly.

Shoppers who don’t steal.

I’ve been noticing a lot of the “Bargain brands” are getting close to the price of major brands.

It's been shifting downward for decades. Wages have remained stagnant while cost of living has gone nowhere but up.

All the Wal-Mart brands I’ve bought have been pretty bad. Same thing with Amazon Basics. They’re the cheapest stuff China can make, and that’s saying a lot.

Albertsons beats Walmart consistently on sale items. I’ve been buying pasta, eggs, milk, etc there. With sales and digital coupons….big Walmart beat.
