I have no problem recognizing Juneteenth. Stupid name, but the event was significant.

Looks like both bigotry and opportunism are in play.

Rochester has problems. Generational Democrat turf.

Hard to be a holiday, because while they can celebrate, who do they thank. They didn't free themselves. This will always produce animosity. Which is it's real purpose.

Stupid name for an absolutely meaningless "event", mocked up into a holiday for the sole purpose of insulting White people. If the promoters of "junetenth" were honest, they would be celebrating the hundreds of thousands of White soldiers who were killed and the millions of White soldiers who were maimed buying freedom for black people.

They don't, so they aren't.

You can’t be serious. LOL. There are probably 2,000 events in the history of the U.S. more significant than this one.
