I have no problem recognizing Juneteenth. Stupid name, but the event was significant.

Hard to be a holiday, because while they can celebrate, who do they thank. They didn't free themselves. This will always produce animosity. Which is it's real purpose.

Weaponized victimhood again by a dark skinned person. Of course, white people are forced to suffer through belittling diversity training and that dark skinned person has no problem with that.

Stupid name for an absolutely meaningless "event", mocked up into a holiday for the sole purpose of insulting White people. If the promoters of "junetenth" were honest, they would be celebrating the hundreds of thousands of White soldiers who were killed and the millions of White soldiers who were maimed buying freedom for black people.

They don't, so they aren't.

Juneteenth is a joke so nothing wrong with making fun of it.

Juneteenf. That’s Brandon’s holiday about nothing.

Pandering political pawn "holiday" from a white, senile old fool.

Pres_ent Obama the "first black president", who the white, senile old fool served as vice president under, didn't even grant that "holiday".

Juneteenth is the celebration of inequality

Black fragility is real.

I simply no longer care if people get upset when you make fun of their racist little holidays or marches.

You can’t be serious. LOL. There are probably 2,000 events in the history of the U.S. more significant than this one.

A better holiday would be 'Pomatix Day, when the Civil War ended and all the slaves were free at last, despite some
political haggling in the aftermath.

Jones, a 14-year department veteran, became uneasy when he arrived at the house and saw a cardboard cutout figure of former President Donald Trump...

And that is somehow racist?!

Certainly! During President Trump's term the black unemployment rate hit historic lows. That's clearly racist!

Juneteenth flags displayed over buckets of fried chicken.

Many African Americans and others celebrate Juneteenth, which commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. If I were black, I would be offended by the 'fried chicken' display.

Did the people holding the party see/know about the display and that a black person was invited? We know that there's no law against being a bigot or having poor taste but that doesn't mean the offended must act like they are not offended.

If the offense is worthy of a law suit is another story but let's not pretend that their was no offense.

“Blacks celebrate Juneteenth because they cant celebrate fathers day,,”

Harsh, but hilarious — and true in many cases.

“Delaware and Kentucky rejected all efforts by the Union to end slavery, and these two border states firmly rejected the 13th Amendment.1 As a result, slavery remained perfectly legal in both states for another six months after Juneteenth, until the secretary of state certified that the 13th Amendment had been ratified by enough states to become law throughout the U.S.”

And to be frankly honest, it wasn't really ratified. Puppet governments put in place by Union occupiers "ratified" these amendments which were completely against the will of the people.

I am told that legal academic circles are still discussing the illegitimacy of the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments.

Clearly the amendment process is not supposed to work as it did during these "amendments."

Well, “Juneteenth” should be mocked. It is a stupid word. It’s only purpose is to keep alive the past that we had long since overcome. Democrats can’t win without blacks hating whites.
