Kash Patel: All The Documents At Mar-a-Lago Were Already Declassified Unilaterally By President Trump (video)

Former Trump national security staffer Kash Patel called in with Martha Maccallum on FOX News on Friday to react to the release of the warrant used by the FBI to search President Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort home.

"If he says something is declassified, that's it, it is declassified," Patel explained. "He declassified a whole set of documents that should have come out... That's on the National Archives to sort that material out... Even if it was classified, they'll never meet the burden of intent because the president didn't pack it up and take it out himself, the G.S.A. has said they did it and they made a mistake."

The only mouth that matters is the mouth of the federal prosecutor in front of the grand juries.

The guy surrounds himself with incompetent idiots, fails to get basic paperwork completed, and the spouts Reddit level memes about Obama.

100% true.

But when you've got Rich Lowry, Erick Erickson, and John Podhoretz claiming that Trump didn't do anything wrong, that this was a fishing expedition, vociferously defending him, and lamenting that the idiots in Biden's Justice Dept. are going to get him re-elected, it's not hard at all to think that the the MAL raid was entirely out of bounds and Trump is procedurally innocent of any wrongdoing.

This has escalated far beyond Trump "cult of personality" worship. Even people sitting on the fence, even people who really, really, don't like Trump, can't help but recognize what a Charlie Foxtrot this raid was.

All any President needs to do is say, these documents are declassified. End of story... period. The President doesn’t need to write it down, he doesn’t even need to tell anyone. If the President says it’s declassified... move on, no story here. There are no clear procedures for the President to Declassify anything.

That sounds really strange. So, Biden can lose the seat in two years time and go home with documents that, say, highlight some of the thinking behind American SSBN patrol waypoints in the Arctic Ocean. An important part of the nuclear deterrent. And then, two years from now, if he’s caught with the documents at a bar, he can just simply say ‘I declassified them in 2022 - I didn’t tell anyone, but trust me, I declassified them.’ And that would be OK? Sorry, I don’t buy it. This has nothing to do with the FBI raising President Trump (different issue, likely a witch-hunt), but has to do with the comment Shab made. If that is true then the whole thing is a mess because that means any President can, basically, make things up and claim they declassified X,Y,Z when they were flossing their molars on September morning in either 2021 or 2022!

There has to be documentation or there’s no proof he did it!
Saying and it happens means you’re claiming the president is a magician. There is a process for that.

Thats absolutely likely true.

Impeach Biden. I would gladly spend tax money to make the whole GD works loose their ever filthy minds. Impeach him, his whole cabinet, his dogs, his staff..everyone and everything.

Censor the asshole, and investigate even his ice cream salesman.

But following that logic…. If he were never the legitimate president, then there is no reason for the National Archives to have an interest in the documents. More importantly, he could not be indicted for stealing classified information because he would never have had access to them in the first place. Hence, any guilt would fall to someone else, and Trump is cleared of all charges once again.

Still winning!

“I’m surprised people here are not listening Kash Patel.”

You and me both. He was primary investigator working for Nunes, when they exposed the whole coup attempt. He and Nunes need statues built in their honor.

Kash is 100% correct, always. A lone voice of sanity, reason, and experience on our side.

I think Patel and Baier are both somewhat correct, and are caught on the difference in “declassification” and “releasing to the public”. Trump reportedly “declassified” many documents relating to the plots against him, but agreed that they had to go through a careful review process before release to the public. The review is supposed to protect private individuals, genuine intel sources, etc., by redacting identities. Since the same DoJ that plotted against Trump handles the review process, they have simply not done it.

Since Trump held documents for 1.5 years without releasing them, it’s a tough sell to claim he was creating any sort of risk or reneging on his promises due to DoJ intransigence. But since they know what he has, I assume they fear he was going to rain grenades on them during the 2024 campaign.

Those lines are already drawn.
More theater isn’t going to change.
