FBI agents found dozens of classified documents during their search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago on Monday, sources confirmed to NewsNation.
Investigators discovered classified documents in two areas: Trump’s personal office above a ballroom and in a storage room near the pool. Sources say there were “boxes everywhere,” with some containing Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI). Those are considered some of the highest level of classified documents.
Since the documents are so secretive, it’s unknown whether investigators will ever publicly acknowledge what they’re in reference to, let alone release them.

They are going to say that he had documents above classified, they were SCIFS, and he could not declassify them and have them, in his possession.
Still does not justify the raid. Lets say, just for kicks, there was a mole, that said there were SCIFS, in his possession. The DOJ and FBI knew that Trump and his legal team were cooperating. If they wanted the documents, and wanted this to be low profile, all they had to do is call up his lawyers and tell them, they think there are documents above classified and they need to check. Based on past actions by Trump and his legal team, they would have been glad to let them look.

This is so stupid. Trump controls which documents are classified or not. If he says a document is unclassified, it is. So how could he possibly break the law in classified documents?
Believe these may be the ones he declassified before leaving office. Agencies didn’t follow up regarding that.

There is ONE Original Classification Authority (OCA)- The President. He may designate additional authorities by Executive Order/Memorandum, but that’s it. All the rest of classification authority are derived from those individuals and/or resulting regulations that ultimately point back to them.
Mostly what you’ll see in any classified document are markings that include the OCA or the directive/statute/regulation that derives its authority from the originator. Classification Authority, Classfied By, dates, declassify on......and so on. There also may be additional markings with regard to what regulation guidelines govern the classification and use.
