You know that, how?
“It is well known that Mackey is a libertarian. Why do you think he’s giving an interview to Reason? Sheesh, the general level of simple ignorance around here is sometimes breathtaking.”
The gullibility of people such as yourself is breathtaking.
Libertarians are just liberals who don’t like government but are just as communist otherwise.
Nothing wrong with making money selling pricy healthy food to customers that can afford it, regardless of their politics. If Whole Foods was profitable he did his job. I used to buy from their deli occasionally when I lived close to one.
He’s a libertarian. In his stores, he would have signs on the walls promoting free markets.
He is only saying this now that he is ready to step down.
Wow, a woke woke up.
“The view from inside the Socialist Utopia not pretty as he found out.”
The hiring of young, woke individuals in Austin created this mess. I used to work there. Go woke, go broke.
(Isn’t Whole Foods now Amazon?)
Yes it is. With a cool new (well a bit over a year ago) way to pay in some cases.
What could possibly go wrong?
Not true! Lots of people around here (not leftists) love Whole Foods. They have good organic food. Somewhat expensive but not insanely so, very good quality.
Those of us with ongoing health problems are thankful for a store that has decent clean foods. We know a lot of conservative friends who shop there (or at least buy some stuff there, we definitely only buy certain things from them)
I’m always surprised that so many people think organic foods labels you a lefty, but if you like cheap junk foods that makes you a good conservative. It doesn’t correlate.
Is that the method of palm reading or facial recognition?
If so, no chance of a glitch! /s
It's a great store you just need to learn how to separate the loss leaders from the sucker plays.
It’s basically a hash code created from a scan of your palm print.
It’s then checked against a database to approve your payment method.
Oh and you can get into the office for security checks, into clubs, get your loyalty points, have your regular food order come up at restaurants....
Seems pretty cool until one realizes it will condition people into accepting the Mark of the Beast, which will allow people to buy and sell.
They were raised to think that they’re special. They received trophies just for participating in something. They were not taught that actions have consequences or how to deal with adversity. They were permitted, almost encouraged to scream and throw a tantrum to get what they want and to speak disrespectfully to adults in demanding little tones.
We are now seeing the result of that.
“it will condition people into accepting the Mark of the Beast”
Ya THINK? Truly terrifying.
I even object to the little “Medallion” doohicky things they give to track you on Princess Cruises. We’re getting Faraday bags before our next cruise.
I don’t know…he seems to have more than two brain cells that are firing properly.
“I assume as Whole Foods CEO he’s a card carrying leftist.”
One of the red flags for me was when Amy Coney Barrett was being considered for SCOTUS was when she emerged from her car with arms full of Whole Foods bags.
Probably not fair, but my perception of Whole Foods people is that they’re snooty liberals.
And this was put out 15 years ago
There were already places that had it
I’m surprised it’s not more prevalent now
I had read about this 6-8 years before the commercial. Really grabbed my attention.
I love Whole Foods’ soap section. It smells so good. Otherwise, I don’t care much for their products. I would be sad if they all closed down because I do go in them just to smell the soaps which I sometimes buy.
I don’t shop at Whole Foods because it’s too expensive. But, I know many conservative Republicans who do shop there.
Whole Foods appeals to people who want to buy organic food. They could be Dems or Republicans.
And then there’s this old but a goodie
I can’t find a video of an IBM commercial where a grandmother goes shopping about the same way as my previous post.
I’ll have to keep looking.
