Richard Baris has called this race for Kent.

Another of the 10 goes down in flames.

I do wish our side would not use early voting so much for the very reason you mentioned.

If the difference is less than 2,000 AND there is less than a 1% difference, there will be a machine recount. Those hardly ever change by more than 10-20 votes.

For a hand recount, the difference has to be less than 150 votes. That’s not going to happen.

Trend is strongly in favor of Kent. This is all but locked up to be in the top two.

Add up all the Republican voter percentages and you get 61%, but I’m sure there were some crossover votes since there is only on Democrat on the ballot.

That said, Kent should get 55+% of the vote in November. Conservatives in SW Washington hate JHB

SW Washington is not King, Pierce, nor Snohomish Counties. Except for Vancouver, Washington, pretty much all the state Senators and representatives are Republicans.

There is NO WAY JHB can win this now!! Joe Kent has won AND with enough of a margin there will be no recount!! I have been praying everyday for Joe he is a good man, on to the general AND another impeachment voter down the drain!!

Got it, but, democrats would love to have Jaime HerreraBuetler rather than Joe Kent.
She even bragged in her franking campaign ads about how bi-partisan she is !!!

Don’t do twitter. :-)

Post wasn’t directed at you personally but to the source.

Call it hypertechnical but when there isn’t a GOP primary it just is annoying to see it being reported that there was one. It could have been both him and Beutler going into the general election as the top two candidates.

Although the fact that it isn’t is better for him as the Democrats would have all probably voted against him, joining with a handful of Republicans that would have still supported her.

But by being on twitter, I was able to be the first here to know the race had been called for Kent. It is kind of funny that someone named Election Wizard didn’t know how WA primaries work.

Just remember the Republican vote was split between the RINO and Kent. The problem is that we are not so much at war with the dems as we are with all the people who support RINOs because they don’t tweet mean.

Actually the vote was split amongst the total pos RINO Jaime HerreraBuetler and two conservative challengers who also split and almost allowed JHB to get through.
