Ukrainian forces again shelled the Antonivskyi bridge in the Russian-controlled city of Kherson, damaging construction equipment and delaying its reopening, Interfax news agency quoted a local Russian-appointed official as saying on Monday.
The bridge is one of only two crossing points for Russian forces to territory they have occupied on the western bank of the Dnipro river in southern Ukraine in what Moscow calls a "special military operation" in the country.
It has been a key target for Ukrainian forces in recent weeks, with Kyiv using high-precision U.S.-supplied rockets to try to destroy it in possible preparation for a counter-offensive to retake Russian-controlled areas of the south.
Kirill Stremousov, the Russian-appointed deputy head of Kherson's city administration, told Interfax there had been no "critical damage" from the latest shelling. He did not say how long this would delay its planned reopening.

And, Putin looking STRONK like bull in his meeting the governor of the Belgorod region today.
Prediction 2: after the Russians take Mykolayiv, FReepers will still be defiantly posting about the holes in the Antonivskyi Bridge
Fresh shelling.
That is the weather forecast for that bridge, until some big chunks drop out.
The next phase is shaping up to be a battle in the South.
Flatter, more open Steppe, with more frontage, and less developed fighting positions.
Russian forces are re-deploying their Regular units down South, and leaving the Donbas in the hands of the local (DPR/LPR) militias and mercenaries.
Speculation that HIMARS rocket resupply is ramping up significantly in the two recent US aid packages. Also indications that HARM anti-radiation missiles have been used in the South to destroy some Russian systems.

I also caught an as-yet unconfirmed claim that a strike against a two vehicle convoy of Russian officers last week was indicative of a Hellfire missile.
Hellfire missiles in theatre would also indicate the presence of Predators in theatre.
The Swedes are now supposedly going to provide some of their Hellfire variants, Robot 17 coastal defense missiles.
Hmmm. I was unaware of the Swedish variant. Thanks for the info!
Sounds like that may have been the strike that killed wanted war criminal LTC Olga Kachura (aka Korsa), a Ukrainian traitor in Donetsk who became an Artillery officer for the Russians, and systematically targeted civilians with area effect weapons (Grad missile barrages of "cluster bombs", dispersing hundreds of sub-munitions). She made media appearances where she reveled in how she liked killing Ukrainians.

That’s like becoming the operations chief of ISIS - promoted to the top of the kill list.
