How Germany is prosecuting its final Nazis —now in their 90s or older
New York Post ^ | August 6, 2022 | Isabel Vincent

When she appeared in a German court last month, Irmgard Furchner sat in a wheelchair clutching her handbag. Her mask and kerchief made it difficult to see the face of the 97-year-old — who has been charged with more than 11,000 counts of “aiding and abetting” murder during the Holocaust.

The nursing-home resident was a secretary in the commandant’s office of the Stutthof concentration camp near Danzig, and is now among the latest former Nazis to be prosecuted in Germany.

The defendants are in their late 90s or even centenarians, but German prosecutors and a Nazi hunter are determined that they face justice for the murder of six million Jews.

The Holocaust became an industry a long time ago.

I’m looking forward to how they keep this racket going when not only the Nazis are long gone, but there is nobody left who even knew a living relative who had lived under the Nazis.

I’ll give Von Braun a pass. He was a fanatic, but only about advancing rocketry. And with the rapid post-war development of the Cold War he was clearly a key asset as the most knowledgeable scientist in the world on the subject. Stalin managed to collect more high end German hardware than the west, but the west managed to collect more high end German brains. Both side’s technology lept forward from their loot. But over time the brains proved decisive.

This is nothing more than the leftist State trying to keep the Nazi boogieman alive.

We are not much different in the USA with our own slavery boogieman. Maybe someday Germany can hunt down the great-great-grandchildren of Nazi war criminals to seize their wealth. If only Nazi guilt could be divined by skin color, it would be so much easier. Since it can't, they have to milk it until every last one is dead.

The sad thing is that the people worked up over that woman never read the article. The warrant that was found was actually ignored because the woman was investigated and cleared.

As a result, the warrant was just put into the drawer.

As for pursing 100 year old Nazis, I guess if they were materially involved that’s fine. Some of these folks were marginally involved at best.

This is not about prosecuting Nazis.

It’s about changing Germany, it’s about fundamental transformation, so that no German now living or born in the future can even form a thought about what policy or set of policies would be good for Germany or the Germans.

Soros was a child. He was never a Nazi. You might want to do more research than the tripe you read on FR comments.

Not suggesting there are many reasons to despise the guy, but he wasn’t a Nazi.

Seems to me the Catholic Church could best be measured in the two or three good days they’ve had in the past 2000 years. It would be easier than recalling their “bad moments.”

Well, if they’re going after 90 year old Nazis...George Soros is 91 years old.

Excellent point.

Get on it, Germany. What are you waiting for?

Jeez, the ignorance is strong in this mob.

Soros was a child.

He was working with a Hungarian guardian disposing of Jewis household goods.

He wasn’t a Nazi.

At the time you are referencing he was 12-13 years old.

Do at least a minutes worth of research.

Maybe it’s not ignorance.

Maybe people are having a little fun with it.

Lighten up. (It must suck to be around you.)

OH, so his use of slave labor is OK because he helped us.

Pretty much sums up America, doesn’t it.

I’d hope so! My brother-in-law is the product of a GI and his German war bride!

Soros wasn’t even IN Germany. And his was literally a child.

Have you read anything besides FR posts about the guy?

14-year-old Germans killed American & Allied troops. Probably younger than that.

Nice try.

The ignorance on this site these days is staggering.

They believe Memes on Facebook and listen to Alex Jones.

You know YOU weren’t kidding. You just don’t like getting called out.

Wow, what did that article really show? One Austria archbishop who was a Nazi sympathizer helped people whom he seemed to know were Nazis. The other examples: some did not even mention the Church and one of those mentioned the CIA!— others mentioned that people had false documents.

Do you believe anti-Trump reporting? Then why do you believe anti-Catholic reporting?
