Wow, what did that article really show? One Austria archbishop who was a Nazi sympathizer helped people whom he seemed to know were Nazis. The other examples: some did not even mention the Church and one of those mentioned the CIA!— others mentioned that people had false documents.

Do you believe anti-Trump reporting? Then why do you believe anti-Catholic reporting?

The post-war Nazi ratline was real. Many Nazis escaped that way. And Catholic officials were involved. That is an unpleasant truth. However, it is a mistake to infer that aiding Nazis was therefore official church policy. It most certainly was not.

And as you noted, American intelligence agencies also played a part. The Church had its reasons, and so did the Americans. Both groups thought its reasons were good enough.
