Best guess they would do what the Egyptians did in 73...practice a Sinai invasion again and again until the Israelis assume the next one is a practice and then they launch the real attack hoping to catch everyone off guard.
It never gets mentioned but the entire chicom military is financed by the interest we pay them on the US bonds they hold. Those payments would stop instantly after an attack and the entire chicom machine would have to hitchhike home. Not to mention their export market would be gone by the next Monday morning.

No sale. The Chinese would use the anti-sats they have to knock out all of our key space assets. That will make a mess with no GPS, no weather, and communications limited and overloaded. At the same time, Chinese hackers would disrupt utilities, banks, military and government activities, cellular communications, and the internet.
They could then invade claiming that those were defensive steps to prevent the US from interfering with Chinese internal issues stopping short of actual attacks on personnel and ships. Let the communist (US) media swarm the US with propaganda, combined with the chaos they caused, and the expected quick war (like everyone always expects before a war starts). They would expect to paralyze the US for long enough to complete the conquest. The Chinese would believe we would be unwilling and unable to retake Taiwan.
