Few things make me angrier than the idea that the peasants should be forced to eat bugs. It’s such a way for the elitists to rub our faces in it. You know they will eat Filet Mignon. But for us? “Let them eat mealworms”.

Historically, at a certain point, the peasants got rid of the elitists. 1789 France being the most prominent example (the aftermath not necessarily so good).

Remember some 25 or 30 years ago there was someone promoting red wiggler worms as a protein source. They even put out menus to show how to prepare various meals with the fried critters.
